Fun Story Time- one line at a time

Around its lazy flame fluttered a moth (or it might have been a petal, I haven't got my glasses on).

 

And I was there, staring at it, almost hypnotized.

 

Who could it be at this ungodly hour?

 

Could it be the big bad wolf?

 

"Hey it's UPS, I have a very large package for you that you need to sign for."

 

R. J. Squirrel, who lived alone in a tree stump, thought, Who would send me a package?

 

The squirrel opened the pakage and inside was a balloon!

 

He grabbed onto the balloon and it dragged him up off the ground.

 

Floating, floating into the air, the squirrel squeaked with pleasure!

 

He waved to a duck who appeared from a cotton candy cloud.

 

Then suddenly, a gust of wind made the squirrel loose his grip on the balloon!

 

"Help!" he cried as he fell.

 

He fell, and fell until a bird snatched him with his claws!

 

"Where are you taking me, you stupid bird?" R.J. said.

 

"To Nigel Fizz nest" squawked

 

the bird, who was a bright red macaw.

 

"N. Fizz Nest!" cried the

 

squirrel, a student of theology who suddenly knew what was coming.

 

There was a bounty hunter in a hot air balloon.

 

"Ahoy!" he cried. "You've arrived, my mateys." His silver claw dangled

 

as he prepared a surprise party for the unsuspecting squirrel.
