Darth Punk this is a good series. Also try Food, inc. (but that's pretty Americentric).

It's not just fast food or soda, it's basically every food item in the entire store. The food industry has attempted to shift the responsibility onto the consumer (after decades of lobbying to obscure the facts about what they put in their products and how they affect the body) by promoting exercise and diet, and, while exercise is great, it's hardly the culprit. And, yes, people have access to raw food products, which is good, but it's not always the easiest or cheapest thing to get, especially for lower class people with a lot of mouths to feed. Anyway. It's pretty disgusting.

So... water with a **** ton of sugar in it and a tiny smidge of vitamin C?

Which reminds me, the obvious thing for the food/pharma a-holes now is to push artificial sweeteners like sorbitol which spike insulin as badly as sugar. Avoid the tax, still give everyone type II diabetes.
