Suggestion: John R. Oishei Children's Hospital Visit

Hi friends! As some of you know, I have been arranging monthly visits at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo for the Superhero Alliance.

I have been in communication with Sue Maribella (The Childlife Events Coordinator), and I mentioned that I am part of a Star Wars group, and that I'd like to offer to come and visit.

Can I create an event appearance suggestion for Monday, January 8, 2018? Sue typically likes a 10am call time with 10:30am patient visitation.

I'm not trying to overstep here, but I know that Chris has tons of event requests to juggle, and since I am already in regular communication with Sue, I thought I might try to get the ball rolling and help out.

Okay, this event is a go:

Date: Monday, 1/8/18
Call Time: 10am
Appearance Start: 10:30am
Location: 818 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203

We will be visiting children at the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Limit of 6 costumed characters and 1 support member.

Sue Maribella will escort our group throughout the hospital to visit children. We may be asked to stop in and chat or even simply wave to some patients. Sue will have a list of rooms that have priority for visitation.

A secure changing room will be provided. Parking will also likely be provided. More details regarding parking will be available by December.

We will impose a "no blaster" policy for this appearance.

I’m down to do the visit! I’ve been involved with former W&C for years? It would be a fantastic opportunity to give back to them the kindness they gave me.

 

This visit is already full. Look for the next one after january

 

Filled in where? I only saw it here. Maybe I just never saw it on the FB or something.

 

The visit is limited to six people. It was up on Facebook for quite a while but it was filled within the first hour or so that it was put up.

Oh. Well there’s always next time! Hopefully it’ll be a day when I don’t have classes/work

 

However I think we should have a back up list in the event of last minute illnesses or issues...

 

I’d be up for being added to a backup list if it’s created.
