Are we allowed to vote for ourselves? I need to know before I accidentally do the honorable thing.

Damn. Forgot to nominate. There's some people missing from the list who deserve to be on it.

Oh well, sending my votes now.

 

How can 'Pirates' be nominated when it only officially began last week ??? Hardly any posts were up for it to qualify.

I believe Nefertiti from "GAW" was nominated by Lord Darth Umbrus as Best Roleplayer, but I do not see her name on the list.

 

Well, Dr. Noah is in a similar situation, only this time I think we've had two weeks to post characters saying "hi" to each other and getting drunk. Seems like a bit of a waste of a nomination to me. Oh well, at least only one can win (if even that), which means the other game can come back next time and maybe win based on actual merit.

I didn't mean that in terms of the game being of poor quality. I just meant that if you win now, no matter what happens, no matter how cool or how riveting the game, no matter what developments, no matter what epic encounters, you can't earn an award for it because you already won. And the award you already won was for a bunch of characters standing around and getting drunk, which you probably won because you were popular (or because people were excited about potential or something). As I said before, from this angle, it seems like a waste to toss your games into the ring so early. But unless LSA and NP are willing to enact minimum game-duration times for it to be considered eligible for a "Best New Game" award, this is probably your only shot at that award. Oh well.

 

It's all where the Awards fall in relation to the Game starting.


But, since it has proven itself in two prior incarnations, we can assume it should do well again. Same with Hammer. Has anyone got a Hammer game that didn't do well?

Can we keep the debates out of this thread, please? If you have comments, we welcome them via PM. LSA and I are constantly considering changes to the Awards. But we don't want to clutter the thread with this stuff. I promise the comments won't be ignored or "pushed aside" like people seem to think they will. You don't have to post everything in public for us to pay attention.
