The S.V.S.F.A. is the Science Fiction club in the Harrisburg, PA area that had a Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary Party on a portable 3-story Drive-In Movie Theatre screen June 19, 2010. We are also the Susquehanna Valley Sci-Fi club that attended the Johnsville Centrifuge & Space Science Museum for a free Star Trek 2009 showing Oct. 31st, 2010. We also visit other museums and planetariums as part of our activities.

The Susquehanna Valley Science Fiction Association is a non-profit organization open to all fans of science fiction and fantasy in the Susquehanna Valley who enjoy discussing and promoting the genre in literature, the arts, and popular culture. The S.V.S.F.A. is part of the Imperial Maquis Forces International: An Alliance of Independent Star Trek Clubs. The S.V.S.F.A promotes social activities for Sci-Fi fans. The Association also considers as important the education of the public in astronomy, astronomical research, and space exploration. There is currently **NO COST** for membership in the S.V.S.F.A.

Our Harrisburg/West Shore Coordinator has previously done fundraisers for the Four Diamonds Fund for 2009 & 2010, "Trick or Treating for Derek & Isabel."

Currently we have 2 groups that meet, the IMS Blazing Swords is a Star Wars Roleplaying Game group that meets every Wednesday night at That Game Place(http://thatgamestore.com) in Lemoyne. The IMS William Penn is a Sci-Fi history and DVD/Movie group that meets once a month on the 3rd Saturday at a currently undisclosed location because we don't want to broadcast someones home address. Some of our other activites include volunteering/working @ Sci-Fi conventions, cookouts, movies, parties, etc.

If you enjoy an active and community service oriented group of people who just like to have fun please check us out.
