It’s so obvious Amidala sells. I just get frustrated that hot toys won’t do more! Especially with the play toys Amidala being made.

Honestly, now that they've made a decent sculpt for Natalie Portman, this one in particular feels like a no-brainer for celebrating The Phantom Menace. I think that was the first variant of the character included in the original 1999 action figure line. I know I had one! It's not quite as iconic from a visual standpoint (that would definitely be her very first outfit, the red one with the semi-circular hair) but from a collector / merchandise history perspective, it'd be hugely popular.

Yeah Hot Toys really can't say anything about needing to only do iconic outfits. All you have to do is look at the billion Tony Stark figures they made - they've done ones that were in one of the Iron man films for like 2 seconds of film time.

They definitely can make any Padme - there are dozens of outfits/styles to choose from.

Double whammy hitting my bank account. Both Mave Windu and AotC Anakin are ready to ship to me.

This leaves me with only OB1K -Obi Wan from the TV show. He's delayed for a couple of months.

So I was working so I was only 1/2 paying attention to these - they're all by Sideshow, not Hot Toys. I'm sooo excited! We're getting new characters that they never made before. I always felt that Sideshow did a superb job w/ aliens.

Greedo has been on my dream list of figures to try to get from the original line. I'm so happy that they're redoing him!

Hoping...HOPING we eventually see a new Hammerhead also.

I'm very excited that Sideshow is fully back into making 1/6 scale figures! I know everyone loves Hot Toys - but Sideshow has made some great figures in recent years. I love Skiff Guard Lando, Hoth Han, and Padawan Kenobi. Of course the updated Jabba is amazing. Can't wait to see what RotJ figures they announce to go w/ him. (Do not need Bib Fortuna - bleck his original version is ugly enough. lol)

Pretty sure the RotJ figures - L>R > Squidhead, Nikto, Weequay, Bib Fortuna.... then I don't know the last 3.

I plan to pre-order Ponda Baba but he'll have to wait.

Apologies for the little non-HT question.

Can anyone recommend a good non-HT Vader figure with the ESB/ROTJ helmet design? I am talking specifically about the different eye shape that he has in those 2 films and how the dome sits a bit higher, compared to the OWK/RO/ANH look.

The Hot Toys ESB version (even with the extreme insectoid-shaped eyes) and the new 40th anniversary ROTJ one nail it, but none of the cheaper Black Series or TVC versions seem to get it right.

There is something off about the Black Series ESB version (the dome is shaped weird) and the ROTJ 40th TVC version doesn't seem to be accurate either.

However, the Dark Times TVC figure did the Kenobi/RO/ANH design perfect in a cheaper form, so I am essentially looking for something similar but for ESB/ROTJ instead.

The closest to this in a non-Hot Toys form:

    Thanks!

@Vader0706 I don't know what to tell you. I don't pay that close attention to his helmets.

I love my Hot Toys Cloud City Darth.

Mace and Padawan Anakin arrived today! Woot!

So I got my $20 off coupon for 2 of my figures finally hitting the 40 days or whatever. I used it and my $40 Sideshow points and got $60 off Chewie w/ C-3PO. Sooo many payments. It's like 7 on their payment plan. But it does make him affordable.

I have a feeling my Obi-Wan from the TV series will ship next month, they showed him as being available for sale on one Hot Toys booths at a show in Asia.

I still want Ponda Bada and Kit Fisto.

I have the original Sideshow version, but he doesn't have the sculpted hands that the Hot Toys version does. If I miss him it won't be the end of the world, but I do want him. Then again I always want everything - lol.

Sideshow has Black Friday deals up - wish I had the cash - good deals on Kumlik and the Blurrg.

I got my Obi-Wan from the TV Show. I also cancelled my Dark Luke, he doesn't really go w/ my collection. Someday I'll photograph my 4 new figures.

I photographed 3 out of 4 of my Hot Toys figures and my Disney Store Queen Amidala doll.
Figures photographed are Obi-Wan Kenobi from TV show and Aotc Mace Windu, and General Kenobi from TCW.

All I need is a Hot Toys Obi-Wan from AOTC and I won't need another Kenobi figure.

Last is AOTC Anakin. I need to dig Padme out of their shelf which means putting it in full chaos, so he can wait.

I wish Mace came with more CW armor than just gauntlets and gloves.

Photos will be coming but will be slow.
