Uh, we're a tiny portion of the SW collecting universe, I betcha that the exclusive version will sell immediately w/whatever accessory that they give him.

He just looks too awesome to pass up on...I would love it if they made him only $40 though.

 

Kit's Exclusive Figure will sell out, but his regular one will have a hard time doing so. Even Obi-Wan hasn't sold out the regular edition yet. That actually suprised me.

Wait until they start bringing out The Emperor and other bad guys. They will be hard to get no matter what edition you are getting.

According to Sideshow's website, there are approximately 60 Obi-Wans still available.

 

I'm passing on Kit too. But I don't think I could ignore an OT Obi-wan or Qui-gon Jinn. Seeing Kit as the 4th figure in this series really opens up the playing field.

It would seem the story came from a pod cast somewhere stating something along the lines that Hasbro is having second thoughts about licensing the 12" figures to Sideshow and have either pulled the license or regulated what Sideshow can release. Having personally spoken to Sideshow Collectibles over the last year regarding this line, I knew that this didn't sound right at all, so I went right to the source and contacted Sideshow directly.

Collectors will be relieved to hear that the pod cast report was based on false or misinterpreted information. Not only does Sideshow have a written agreement that is longer than one year, their working relationship with Hasbro has never been better. That said, the line will continue on for some time and we will indeed see many, many characters, both male and female, and they most certainly will not all be Jedi characters.

The pod cast may also have stated something about Hasbro getting back into the 12" line. Sadly we cannot currently confirm or deny this part of the report, as Hasbro has not addressed the subject with the Star Wars collecting community.

 

It was tough for me to decide, but I voted for Qui-Gon over Mace in the poll over at Rebelscum for which Jedi you want to see next in the series. Currently Aayla Secura's in the lead.

I voted for Qui-Gon. The lack of rooted hair would really bug me, though, and I already have two Qui-Gons.

I was just looking over my Account History and I noticed that there are no estimated ship dates for my Anakin and Obi-wan figures. Does anyone know their release dates?

 

I think both of their release dates are 2nd or 3rd quarter...meaning anytime after April/May.

Just FYI to everyone, Sideshow's notorious for taking FOREVER to release their products. So it's usually a waiting game with them. However, the quality of the items are top notch and it's worth the wait

 

So they might show up in time for my birthday.


Any guesses on what the Exclusive version of Kit Fisto will include? Luke came with the blaster he stole from one of Jabba's guards, Anakin with a mini hologram of Sidious, and I had rightly guessed before that Obi-wan would have Grievous' blaster. I can't think of anything that would be specific to Kit.

 

They said Luke in late March and Anakin a couple months after that.. not sure about Obi.

 

Sideshow posted on their site that Kit's exlcusive is a Battle Droid Head/Parts... I was hoping for a 2nd head with him smiling

 

Well I definitely want Kit, but I don't care if I get the exclusive or not. The dead droid head would be pretty cool though.

 

I'm anticipating getting the exclusive version. Seeing all the troubles people had with Anakin and Obi-Wan and I managed those without any real problems, I think Kit should be a breeze tomorrow. I don't need the exclusive, but what the heck, why not?
