Mini Series TBOBF Season 1 Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

I love the original design so much but I love clever design modifications and it could become something really unique.

 

Really really hope they don’t use this next episode to introduce a character they’re going to try and force us to love so that we watch their inferior spinoff…

 

Knowing Lucasfilm, it'll probably just be Boba Fett, but shiny...

Boba doesn't torture, but Din totally does!

 

Well, Bobba used the sismic charge in TM S2 Ep07. She must have seen it. Probably they talked about and Bobba explain how it works for her. Nothing special here.

 

There's only one small problem: the events happened in the opposite order.

 

She knows the ship model, easy awnser there.

 

Do the seismic charges play the brown note? Seeing the Sarlacc poop its self to death would have been wizard.

 

I watched the TM seismic charge scene again, which does give us a partial answer to the button situation. In that scene, in order to release the charge, Boba pushes two buttons; first on on his dashboard (*), then the one above him. In AOTC we only see him pushing the one on his dashboard. In TBOBF, Fennec needs to push the top button, and because the ship is in an awkward position, she needs to climb to it (while Boba is busy keeping his hands on the controls. Ships in Star Wars don't seem to have power steering). So it's at least somewhat consistent, somewhat.




(*) it's a different one than the one he pushes in AOTC, on the other side of his dashboard, but oh well.



This kind of stuff is obviously of supreme importance.

 

Thats pretty much the idea. Boba is busy holding the ship from being pulled into the pitt. presumbaly he needed the strength of both arms do it. Fennec gets to press the button because she wasn't doing anything in that scene and because they wanted to give her a cool moment. She hasn't really had alot to do in the show up until this episode.

Its all a juggling act really. If Boba does everything, then no one else would get cool moments.

If Boba was alone, then he would have to deal with everything alone. But because thats not the case. it all needs to be shared out.

 

Ultimately though, I think they gave the button-pushing moment to Fennec so they could set up the "don't touch my buttons" line.

 

The Mandalorian scene happened after the Book of Boba scene.

 

Its just easier to assume she knows how a "fire spray gunship" works.

 

Hence the great writing having Boba mention the specific make and model. Fennec would not have been able to save the day if Boba would have simply said “my ship.”

 

Can't help but think it should've been don't "push" my buttons, though. Ah well! Can't have everything in life.
