LOL! I never saw that toy, Lilith!!

WAHH!! I accidentally read a spoiler! :_| *curses in several languages*

I got some of the weirdest looks at work today. Two customers were discussing the movie very loudly, and I yelled at them that they need to take the conversation elsewhere. My manager thought I was going nuts. :(

GRRR... I got spoiled by LEGO TOYS. I went to the SW Weekend at Legoland, and they have all the new stuff out. :(

We can do it, guys! 15 more days! (+ 5 hours and 35 minutes) :p

This is not fair! I started to get spoiled by reading a news article on TF.N! The one that says This Move is Not for Kids. But I was strong and stopped reading!

I was curious because my 6 year old has already told us that we are not seeing ROTS without her and I wanted to check things out. Could they not state a general reason why it's not for kids before giving us detailed spoilers as to what happens? Sheesh!

If I Were a Spoiled Fan
    - to the theme of "If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof

If I were a spoiled fan,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a spoiler man.
I needn't keep my eyes shut.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were just little bitsy spoiled,
    Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.

I'd make a flashy website with pics by the dozen,
    Featuring Jedi as they fall.
And maybe have a flash animation show.
There would be one huge page with quotes from Hyperspace
And news from fansites great and small
And inside leaks from "people in the know".

I'd fill my brain with facts and plausible rumors
For all the world to see and hear.
Babbling just as noisily as I can.
And each loud scream and shriek from spoiler-free fans
Would land like a trumpet on the ear.
As if to say "Here lives a spoiler man."

If I were a spoiled fan,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a spoiler man.
I needn't keep my eyes shut.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were just little bitsy spoiled,
    Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.

I would not see my family looking like they think I'm mad -
Maybe just a bit obsessed -
Reveling in each tidbit of Star Wars news.
I'd not forbid all mentions of spoilers in the house
And make the atmosphere so stressed.
What a way to keep away the blues!

And most important, all the n00bs would come to fawn on me.
They would ask me to inform them,
As if I were friends with Philip Wise
"If you please, Master Spoiler . . ."
    "Pardon me, Master Spoiler . . ."
Asking questions that would cross ol' George's eyes!
And it won't make one bit of difference if I answer right or wrong.
When you're spoiled, they think you really know.

If I were spoiled, I'd have the freedom to read
And post in the forums without fear
Knowing there is nothing I shouldn't know.
And I'd discuss the latest spoilers in 3SA
Till I find I'm bored to tears.
That would be the sweetest thing of all.

Since I must be wary constantly,
I've begun to doubt my sanity.
Would it spoil my viewing Star Wars III
    If I were not spoiler-free?

    Priceless! :D :D :D

My amazingly cool, SW-fan cousin (of some sort) gave me a copy of RotS because she saw it in the airport on the way from New York and bought a copy for me. Right now it's sitting malevolently on my desk like an unexploded bomb...

I saw the RotS junior novelization today in a bookstore...I was so tempted to just look at the cover, and read the back, and maybe look at the pictures inside...but I resisted. :)

BTW, I love your song, lazykbys! [face_laugh]

    I hate being spoiled.

How to remain UNSPOILED by the soundtrack:

    * Listen to track 14, don't read the title.

    * Read the titles on the RotS soundtrack, don't listen to track 14.

If you do both = Major spoilage.

    *Goes off grumbling*

Haven't bought or looked at the soundtrack yet. My friends are going nuts because I refuse to talk to them about RotS!!

Legos at CIII were one of my "accidental" spoilers. The other was on one of Master Replicas' beautiful lightsabers... they HAD to put part of the plot on the box, darnit! I immediately stopped reading.

    AWESOME song, Lzy!

I was so unspoiled for EpI I didn't even know who the actors were. Everything was a wonderful thrill. I just want to recapture that "wow" factor; is that so wrong? :)

Legos at CIII were one of my "accidental" spoilers.

A friend sent me a picture of the Lego EP3 Star Destroyers.

    Those looked sweet!

Other than that, the only spoilers I know were things I kinda guessed had to happen at some point in the movie.

    As for spoilers, I...

    *Accidentally read Vanity fair
*Read too much in some magazine
    *Soundtrack
*SW weekend at Legoland = all the Ep. 3 stuff
*People speaking too loudly around me.

Thankfully enough my coworkers have learned to keep anything they might know about Ep3 behind their teeth when I'm around. Sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting, "La, la, la, I can't hear you!" in an airport tends to attract a bit of attention...

Unfortunately, the closer we get to the movie release the more active I have to be to avoid spoilers. I've become a bit of an ostrich, burying my head in the sand as it were, so that I don't see or hear anything about the movie. *sigh* It'd be so much easier if there weren't people out there determined to spoil it for me.

My brother even tried to tell me something during a phone call, so I hung up on him. He's a bit of a sith when it comes to that sort of thing, and actually prefers to know all about a movie before going to see it.

Lazy, hilarious song! Though at first I kept on trying to sing it to 'Matchmaker, Matchmaker'. Eh, it's been awhile since I've listened to Fiddler.

THe thing with spoilers is, in my opinion, that even if you've read the novel and the script and looked at all the pictures- it's still extremely different to see it all in motion, with the music and dialogue, on the big screen. So yes, I know what's going to happen- and I guessed a lot of it anyway, before I was spoilered anyway- but to actually see it in theaters is going to be such a difference that I don't mind (as much). Though I think some part of me wishes I hadn't accidentally read those spoilers back in Jan and had gotten hooked...

And again, a great big applause to all of you for managing to stay spoiler-free. Some of your stories are quite amusing...

Could they not state a general reason why it's not for kids

Long story very short, it's going to be the darkest(no pun intended) of all six movies. It will be violent, creepy, and intense. You cound take a kid 10-12 to see it with no problems, but someone in the 5-9 range might have nightmares after seeing it.

Thanks BothanJedi! That really helps. I'll have to think about it a bit before I agree that she can go see it and see it first to judge if it's too dark for her.

Then again this is the same child that likes to watch Jurassic Park, The Mummy and CSI... She's too smart for her own good. :p

Funny song lazykbys!! I love it! :D

It really depends on the kid. I was a wuss when it came to frightening movies (still am, LOL). Movies can scar a kid for life (I still can't watch "It" and I hate Clowns). :p

I know my friend's son is really really mad that he has to wait to see it. ;)

    That's probably a good idea.

Hrm... If that's the case it might be ok to take her. I know CSI can use some very realistic FX.

Hmm, maybe I'm just completely stupid, but people have been saying that listening and reading the soundtrack songs have major spoilers... and so far I have no clue what they're talking about. I've read the track names and listened to the songs, but I don't know what this spoiler is. Whih is fine by me. In which case, I'm glad I'm stupid. :p

Targeter, I've been a music student for 7 years. I learned how to analyze music, find repeated themes, then interpret what's happening in the movie. :p

    Hmm . . .

I guess that as far as avoiding spoilers are concerned, sharp people are definitely at a disadvantage. Darn glad I'm stupid.

In fact, I'm so lacking in brain power that I've already forgotten half the spoilers I've come across. Go me! :D

    EDIT:

14 days till RotS and 83 fics with spoiler warnings. Stay strong, everyone!

Just wanted to say =D= to you all for your strength. I couldn't do it. I'm weak, I admit. Spoilers are of the Dark Side.

And just a warning, don't buy the ROTS game either! TONS of glorious spoilers in it! My boys bought and it is a good thing I am thoroughly spoiled.

Now, let me offer what might be an interesting challenge for you : begin a fic that will include RotS material once you've seen the movie, but will not in its first posts, since you are spoiler-free ;)
