I think the reason the lightsaber looks like that is because the blade(s) is removable, and to make it easier they made it all one piece so they have that extra energy to connect all three points.

 

Though i suppose I havnt seen TFA yet.... i could be wrong.

This is what everyone else has been saying... Only the one guy can't grasp the reasons why such a GLARING INACCURACY would be in a kids' toy.

On starwarsunderworld. I don't think that it's Vader on the main pic alongside Kylo Ren and the playing pieces seem a bit odd if it is a TFA themed set.

Should have been Leia or Rey instead of Finn. Keep it in the family.

 

Well, standard Monopoly has eight pieces, so I'm guessing there will be two more OT pieces and two more ST pieces. Leia and Rey are probably amongst them. In fact, I'd guess OT: Luke, Leia, Han, Darth Vader, and ST: Finn, Rey, Poe, Kylo Ren.

So who/what is that on the left side of the main box art? It does not look like Vader to me.

 

It's definitely Vader.

 

Really? I just can't see it. If that's his breathing mask above the "S" then it is to big. And is he wearing a hood?

 

It's not the best quality photo, but it's him, with the helmet cut of 1/4 at the edge of the box. The triangular part of the breathing mask is to the left of the "S" in Star Wars, and it's not a hood, but the curve of his helmet being oddly "lit" by Kylo's Lightsaber.

 

You are focusing on the wrong part because its a close up with most of vaders head blocked by the name MONOPOLY. The nose, and mouth triangle are right below the "MO..". The cheek and eye socket are next to the "S" of star wars. The eye socket kinda looks like a head/helmet if you don't see the rest.

 

BTW, I went hunting over the weekend and did not see anything juicy like what others have found. I did find this Star Wars Catch Phrase Falcon Game. Did not have batteries, so I could not see if any spoilers programmed in or not. Funny 1 line LCD screen that shows the "clue" that you are supposed to get your friends to guess showing the word "Lightsaber" on the back of the box. Otherwise, nothing very exciting to see on the packaging. But here it is just because its a TFA Toy.

 

100% Vader to me.
