Hi Thank you for admitting me.

Reviving a childhood fascination with the Empire inspired by watching Rogue One for the first time while quite unwell. I find in it a fascinating account of Imperial bureaucracy and Darwinian struggle between departments that reminds me of my history lessons, Kershaw and his idea of "working towards the Führer". Another favourite scene of mine is the debate between the high officers in "A New Hope", one scene that tells us so much about the rivalries and factions within the Imperial system.

I am not quite sure how to turn an interest into a hobby - some of the figures made by the Hong Kong company Hot Toys are quite beautiful, while an autograph from the late lamented great Peter Cushing or Ben Mendelssohn would be a splendid addition to my wall!

I think it was here I read a very interesting post about the idea of setting precise limits on a collection to prevent dispersing our limited resources,going deep rather than wide to try and actually do something meaningful for the fandom.

I have sketched out the idea of concentrating on the bureaucracy and hierarchy of the Death Star both present (ANH) and in development. Is this too broad?

I shall read as much as I can and in the distant future might even have an Imperial dress uniform tailored for me.
