So here we are, the 14th EUC Starfighter Draft! s65horsey is going to be the commissioner again! *much cheering* I will be doing the draft slightly different from last time. People have been asking for the ladders to be used, so what I'll be bringing that back once we hit the playoffs. So every win matters!

Rules:

1. VIPs - Colors - Titles: Once again, the winner of the Starfighter Draft will be awarded VIP status and colors for the duration of one week. The winner also gets automatic entry and first pick in the next draft. Also, all losers will receive 24 hour game bans.

2. Leave Your Problems At the Door: If any personal problems or disputes arise in the midst of the Draft, please refrain from playing them out in the thread. Take care of things outside the Draft, and if problems persist, contact either myself, or one of the Mods, and we'll see what can be done.

3. Obey the Forums Rules: Talking and discussions is encouraged, so long as nothing gets too heated. Just follow the normal forum rules, (no flamming/spamming/trolling, etc.) and you should be fine. Please respect everyone else in the game; it'll work out better for everyone.

4. No Replacing the Commissioner: If I'm going to be out for an extended period of time, then I'll arrange for someone to act as temporary Commissioner until I return. GMs and Judges will not take it onto themselves to find a new Commish to fill in if I happen to be absent.

Welcome back to the 14th iteration of the EUC Starfighter draft. As in previous drafts, there will be 12 GM positions, which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Simply assign your name to a spot on the draft list, in thread, to claim your spot. Judging positions will be filled via PM application, and announced in thread by myself. New drafters are recommended to begin as GMs, as the judging positions are demanding both in knowledge of the pilots, and the draft itself.

GMs will be responsible for assembling a competitive draft team consisting of 8 pilots (Make your picks within 24 hours or you WILL lose your draft pick positioning. Missing three consecutive picks can lead to your removal from the draft altogether!), providing a team name, and managing their team for the duration of the draft. Judges will, in turn, be? judging matches, which sounds deceptively easy.

It is highly recommended that all newcomers to the draft, as well as those who feel a little rusty, review previous drafts to get a feel for where to start, and what was successful for past draft champs:

If we can get three people who want to judge so I only have to commish that would be fantastic. I just am not optimistic enough to believe that it will happen so I put my name on the list.

heh, i'm exactly one short on my prediction. i'm amused.

 

I will join just to help this thing fill up, don't expect me to be in the top half of quality as far as teams go though...mostly I will just get in the way and pick characters that you really wanted on your team.
