yes all around. i have never seen a single thing from kyle that has impressed me in a cockpit. out of it? yes, lots.

ok, just fair warning, i'm being tested for tuberculosis because my coughing just isn't going away, and it's the full body, deep, wracking cough that makes your back spasm/clench, your joints basically scream at you, and nearly blacking out. no. i am not exaggerating even a little bit, this has been happening regularly. for months (yes, i've been to the dr. and was treated for bronchitis. no mas) if i'm around less, there's a very good chance this is why, but i should be fine to continue judging here since i've been involved in so many of these at this point. most things are just refreshers really.

anyway, just figured it was an update that needed to be made.​

i don't think these are really that difficult, sadly. the only real leads in skill that helix has are gavin over pash, and then arguable R1 over zekk and anj over nrin, and i'm not entirely certain on those. but basically it comes down to the luke squad just flat out having too much skill going for it to be overcome.

kinda the same with beard power, only more overt. after tycho/anakin (incredibly close to me), and corran over jagged (not as close, i like corran better pretty solidly) we run into the problem of kenos over shawnkyr (slam dunk, even if i'm not a huge fan of kenobi as a pilot), and saba over runt, which is also nowhere near close. those to holes just can't be made up to me, and basically the talent of the top four will be more than enough to clean this up.

so to clarify: luke's beard is the winner.

 

Yay Me has the edge. As for the second matchup, both teams have bottom threes that don't have any business being drafted. You can maybe make an argument for Tahiri, but basically they're irrelevant. Lowie and Saba both edge the Wraiths out, but Piggy brings a significant coordination advantage to a squadron match. Shawnkyr is a talented pilot we haven't seen much of, while we've seen a lot of Obi-Wan and he's pretty good, but never really that impressive. Jag and Tycho are both amazing pilots, both better than Corran but not as good as Anakin. Ooga Chaka has good wingpairs in Jag/Shawnkyr and Piggy/Runt, but is kind of a a mess otherwise, while Beard Power has a lot of people who have all worked with each other and has the Anakin/Obi-Wan power pair. I don't think this is easy, because Tycho and Jag are so elite, but I think Beard Power's slightly superior depth and cohesion take this.

I can post a little bit if needed, but I think for the most part I have the best pilot in the fight, and superb cohesion from top to bottom. Some nice melding with a few dudes.
