Likely candidate and posturer Chris Christie tells the children that he still loves the Mets, even though they don't win. As a Yankees fan, I don't know what he's talking about, they just swept us in a 4-gamer a month ago. I suppose he's speaking more long-term.

Oh, and he also likes the Cowboys. Juliet316 :p

I'll take that more into consideration if he actually decides to run.:p

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but personally it's because the earlier the election season starts, the earlier my television gets swamped with obnoxious advertisements because I live in a swing state.

Also constant election "coverage" when nothing is really happening just ends up with the various outlets doing speculation-spam to get the most hits/views.

So it's basically the Episode VII forum, then.

At least I don't win in a swing state. I think I saw maybe two campaign commercials last election cycle. I have to search for my political fix.:) ... Still, **** the electoral college.

Marty: Look at this, Doc. There's not a likable candidate in either party.
    Doc: Great Scott!

North Carolina went barely blue in 2008 and barely red in 2012. Assuming I'm still living here then, I'm dreading 2016.

    :p

You try living in a 'swing' state and being bombarded by constant political ads in 2012, and then barely getting a rest from it before the ads for Va's Governor's race began. There's only so much 'coverage/spam' even I can take and I'm SO not looking forward to 2016 in terms of that.

Our gubernatorial elections are the same year as Presidential elections. I guess that's better as we get bombarded all at once.

Potential Republican candidates keep visiting Iowa

I feel so bad for the people of Iowa :(

Also, Republicans have launched a SuperPAC named "Stop Hillary."

Meanwhile, over 300000 have already signed up for "Ready for Hillary," which has already gotten high-profile endorsements for her, and is already raising thousands of dollars.

I thought the whole "Impeachment for Sex" thing destroyed our politics a long time ago. This is just beating the proverbial dead horse.

Perry: America's a country of second choices

Interviewer: Do you mean second chances?

    Perry: Maybe.

What's the point of giving someone a second chance when they haven't changed?

On the other hand, supporting his point is the fact that it's hard to conclude the people currently running Texas were anything better than second choice in terms of quality or competence. The House of Representatives, too.

Last year's election, with people being violently on one extreme or the other (though I saw more of it from the right) really killed my Halloween (though it didn't help that my favorite holiday had to share with Christmas). I'm going to enjoy the next 3 Halloweens knowing there's no election anytime soon.

Also, I don't see any candidate I like, so at this point, I'm voting Independent in 2016.
