JCC The 2021 Arlol Awards

Welcome! Welcome one and all! To the first ever ARLOL AWARDS.

What is this you may ask? Well it's like the Wattos...but with videos. Cause why limit ourselves? Thanks to @Darth Punk for allowing me to do this.

The way it is will be this, they're are 8 categories with 8 videos a piece. Each category will have 2 go at a time, till one is crowned winner of that category. The winner will be chosen every 2 days. (Or around it)

Then, I'll use a random number generator to assign the 8 category winners to a bracket once again, till one is crowned winner.

And now to introduce the 8 categories:
Cats, dogs, birds, sheep/goats, cool, funny, kids, and random.

We will start of course with cats. Here are the first two competitors

I see you went with anonymous voting. This will kill your ratings; approximately 76% of people turn into the wattos do it because of the intrigue, the back-stabbing, the drama, and you take that away?

 

Aren't you supposed to be fighting the communisms?

 

You are really trying to form a competitor to the Wattos?

And here I was worried you would mind being called Arlol.

 

Technically, I'm not anymore. But I'll use it for this award. Makes sense to do it that way.

The second cat is lucky it's not a cat pancake. The mighty Whomp Seal is a paragon of mercy.

 

See I knew the seal would get a response...

 

If the tiger cat would have some Rocky - going the distance / war music in the background it would win this easily

 

We need to see the names of the enemies of the seals so we can give them a proper whomping.

On a more serious note, about the format, you have an estimated runtime of (8 categories + 1 final bracket) x [4 (1st round) + 2 (2nd round) + 1 (3rd round) ] x 2 days = 9 brackets x 7 rounds/bracket x 2 days/round = 126 days, covering a total of 63 rounds of voting, and a total of 64 interventions on your part and 63 mod interventions. That's a heavy format, demanding engagement over more than four months; and it's going to take a lot of work and creativity to avoid user fatigue.

 

Okay well I'll do 4 vids next, then the last two. Then set off with 4 this round. I'll make sure it goes quick
