This is essentialy what my argument is - the Jedi have that and the Force in their favor and I think more feats as a whole appearing in a lot more stories and battles than Thane and Ciena. As talented as Ciena was she spent a lot of time as an officer too and not actually flying, if I'm remembering Lost Stars correctly.
