Y is for Ioti Yanaro, A Chalactan sage and Greater Priest who got sick and tired of the day-to-day hullabaloo of City life and made an attempt to retire by wandering out into the wilderness, hoping to spend his twilight years exploring the laws of nature firsthand and asking questions he knows there are no answers to. Unfortunately for him he is followed, first by his friends, and later many strangers who mistake him for a mysterious old hermit and truth teller with an indescribable wisdom. He just wants to be left alone but they don't get the message, so he simply goes on living his life, trying to ignore the gaggle of followers always on his heels, until one day he stumbles across one curious Jedi seeking enlightenment. Meet him in a future chapter of A Shattered Minds eye.

A is for Antares Ragnarsdottar. She is an aspiring actress who somehow emerged in all her dramatics from the stoic soil of her farming family. After she finishes her university degree in theatre, she is somewhat at a loss at what to do with her life. Eventually, she accompanies her boyfriend to his posting as an assistant ranger in a remote mountain region as his "plus one," where she works in the station gift shop.

She appears in Heroes and "My Life in the Forest".

    B is for Brother Alastair.
    (Cheating a bit there)

"He smiled the kindest, most genuine, smile Jatu had ever seen. Floppy brown curly hair tumbled around his face that Jatu had a strong urge to touch."

Brother Alastair exudes a Force enhanced air of Niceness. He is just the nicest person you've ever met, which is a powerful counteraction to Darkness.

The cheerfulness of Obi Wan in a good mood, and irresistibly kind and empathic.

To be seen someday in the twin stories Tiger and Lamb.

    C is for Calia Koan

Calia was born into the highest ranks of Hapan nobility to a very conservative Hapan family. So conservative in fact that they tried to overthrow Queen Mother Allana Djo for being the daughter of Jacen Solo and instal Calia as queen. The plot failed however as Calia`s brother Jesper betrayed his family to the queen (mainly because his parents treated him more as a servant than a child) and Calia was arrested alongside other conspirators. Many plotters were sentenced to life in prison for their high treason but the youngest members of the conspiracy such as Calia had their sentences commuted to exile by Allana. Exiled to the Coalition (who had backed the coup attempt) Calia became a rallying figure for all kinds of Hapan Exiles and pirates. Enough for her to form their own Ranger unit. Though it would eventually include non Hapans as well, such as Calia`s girlfriend Camilla "Camy" Palpatine and Mira Grau.

Calia is a major character in my "Next Generation Stories"

D is for Davin Solo and Dolan Solo, twin sons of Jaina Solo and Jagged Fel. After losing their parents and grandparents to endless galactic conflict, Davin and Dolan were raised by Tahiri Veila and sheltered away in the hidden enclaves of the Jedi. Davin is bold, friendly, and outgoing, and like his parents and grandparents before him, he’s a naturally gifted starpilot. Dolan, on the other hand, is reserved and astute and prefers to keep his feet on the ground, and he enjoys problem-solving. Davin and Dolan appear in Enter the Foreign, Futures and Dreams, and All These Broken Pieces.

E is for Esio Turot. Named in 2001 as the judge in the trial of Luke and Leia in The Other Half, Part 1, his name is actually one letter off from a Roald Dahl book. His author was shelving books at a library at the time. He resurfaced in Sins of the Father as a judge entrusted with the information that Bail Organa was being held without charges brought against him by Darth Vader and publicly took a stand against this unlawful detention. This resulted in Organa being granted due process and forcing the Empire to give him prisoner rights and medical treatment as well as a public trial. Turot once served in the Alderaanian delegation during the Republic, but was appointed to the judiciary during the Clone Wars.

G is for Mira Grau, born as the daughter of a maid and a janitor Mira`s lifepath seemed set since her birth, she would join her long family line of valued noble servants on Eriadu. Dutifully serving a noble family until an comfortable retirment. But, just as with her aunt Ella Grau her life would take a dramatic turn as she was adopted by her cousin Ulrika Grau (though in pratice, being over thirty years younger she calls Ulrika her aunt) and her wife Elena becoming a noble herself. Not too long afterwards she was also discovered to be force sensetive. Not wanting their niece to be taken by the Jedi as a child Ulrika and Elena brought in an old friend of theirs, Asajj Ventress (long story) to serve as Mira`s teacher and mentor. Though once her training was done and she had reached adulthood Mira did decide herself to join the Jedi after all, reasoning that she had recieved so much good in her young life and as a Jedi she could give something back in return. Having been trained by Ventress since an early age she instantly passed the trials to become a Jedi Knight and was eventually even allowed into the council in her late twenties (though mostly as a political appointment to serve as the Coalitions ambassador to the Order) It could have all been the start of a shining career in the order but fate (and Darth Krayt) had other plans...

Mira is the main protagonist of the Next Generation in the "Grau Verse" and my fancast for her is Brianna Hildebrand. (Artwork by my amazing friend Beth)

H is for Hessy Teack, the main character in my 2024 Kessel Run. He is a Jedi-knight who will become an archivist for the personal files of the Jedi. He wields a lightsaber with a bright golden orange glow. Dark but he will not be seduced by the dark crystal or the holocrons he studies. He has met Dooku, Jinn and various other Jedi. Among the last were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi, bringing him some personal files

I is for ľpśũ-Ċhōnďru Řĥodôś, better known as Carra to those who struggle with multi-tonal languages. A militia soldier and professional bodyguard living in the Coruscant Underworld, she is a member of the semi-aquatic near-Human Gigartine species. She's a tough, no-nonsense military type with a both a cynical streak, a heroic sense of duty, and a hidden sense of wonder. Her admittedly cheeky name is derived from Chondrus crispus (Irish Moss, a type of seaweed) and some playing with the extended Latin character set. She serves as the lead character of The Pipecleaner and plays a major supporting role in Research Notes: The Aquarium.

K is for Tredo Kohr, a Jedi Knight, amateur slicer, and former crew member of the Daybreak who was grievously injured fighting the Sith on Vjun. In spite of that trauma, Kohr’s easygoing, jocular personality remains, and in the years after Enter the Foreign he marries fellow Jedi Dira Nal and settles down at the enclave on Meraine. As of the first few chapters of All These Broken Pieces, he and Dira are expecting their first child, which makes his job guarding a certain Sith prisoner all the more stressful. Kohr also appears briefly in Beneath the Gods of the Bright Sky and the happy AU vig I Still Fall For You Like Suns Do for Skies.

L is for Ludo Gum, a young Gungan technician's apprentice from the underwater city of Otoh Gunga.

During the Trade Federation's occupation of Naboo in 32 BBY, Ludo's mother was captured and sold to a ruthless Zygerrian slaver named Ferryl. Whilst single-handedly attempting to investigate her disappearance, Ludo encountered Lt. Mylo Lloyd, a Bravo Squadron starfighter pilot who offered to help. Upon meeting Mylo's faithful astromech droid R2-J0 (a.k.a. 'Jayo'), Ludo was the first to brightly note, "Hey! All of oursen names be rhymin'!"

Much the same as Mylo, Ludo had struggled with the feeling that he never really "fit" his lot in life, but ended up managing to find himself (and better appreciate his people's customs) thanks to the instant connection he shared with his new pallo.

He is a bright, brave, and well-meaning individual, open and honest to a fault, with seemingly limitless reserves of empathy and forgiveness.

Ludo is the deuteragonist of Star Wars: Episode I - The Steadfast Wreckage.

M is for Matthias Ruud, an Imperial Navy captain who is a good friend of my protagonist Ayesha Eskari. He uses his good looks and easygoing demeanour to hide the fact that he's actually rather shy. He's a great admirer of Thrawn, who was his favourite instructor in the Carida academy. Once Isard's rule begins on Coruscant he defects to the Empire of the Hand, together with his wife Valeria. For a very long time he only appeared in ἈνάγκηNecessity beyond Sway (where he did have his moment of glory though) but more recently I wrote a long vignette from his POV about how he met his wife: ‘She’.

N is for Namia Zahalin, Jedi Consular with a peculiar connection to the Living Force. Namia grew up in the Temple and was apprenticed to Jedi Master Gerald Samukay. She spent much of her early apprenticeship living away from the Temple as part of various dignitary missions headed by Master Samukay. On her return to the Temple, she easily made friends with Qui-gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Taeyn D'levosh, and Tara Tarindae, much to the despair of the teachers in the Temple as the four apprentices often found themselves in trouble.

Namia also frequently found herself in trouble due to the way that she connected and felt the Force. As she connects mostly through emotions, Namia often found herself trying to create deeper bonds, or chasing the highs that emotional and physical connections can give. This meant she often skirted the rules about non-attachment and latter led to her padawan, Kithera Rinani, keeping a long list of her paramours. Namia was an equal opportunist when it came to love, preferring the emotional connection over any concerns about gender, sex, or biology.

Namia took on a padawan, Kithera Rinani, early in her knighthood. There were some concerns about this pairing, as Namia was predominantly a diplomat and Kithera was closer to a Jedi Guardian. Many masters argued that Namia let her padawan get away with far too much, and that her inability to reign in Kithera's desire for action first, and thought later, is what eventually led to Namia's untimely death at her padawan's hands.

Namia's most recent appearance was in The not-so-secret love life of Namia Zahalin

O is for Assa Olinde, a Jedi-knight and master for Lindie Uroha. She has been the padawan of Ran Gher and played an important part in revealing the secrets from Shaurkoo's tomb on Korriban. She helped Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi during their search in the archives. They discovered that the destruction of Kreyfon and Irellion were unnatural. Assa was a general during the Clone wars and killed during a mission on Salendoni. She appears in Tetrahedron, Reunion and is mentioned in Archive adventures with Hessy Teack

P is for the Paolo-cron, the holocron of Jedi Master Paolo L'szelo, which he gave to Doran Blayne to aid him in training Raissa Baiard. The Paolo-cron is a bit glitchy and tends forget (or possibly ignore) inconvenient details like the fact that Doran no longer goes by the name Domnic Jade or that there is no longer a Jedi Council (or indeed a Jedi Order).

R is for „Red“ Beth the Pirate Queen of the Stega System. Growing up as a the kid of a poor miners family Beth fell into small crime at a young age, eventually gathering a group of likeminded young women around her. Eventually she and her gang took control over the system in a bloodless coup through deception and trickery. Her rule was mostly fair, for a pirate as she knew she needed the support of the people to hold onto power. Still her sister Freya was not amused by her criminal career and worried it would sooner or later get her killed. So Freya assisted Jedi Knight Mira Grau in arresting Beth and her gang. Though they only served a grand total of one day in prison, as the Tof War broke out and the pirates were offered amnesty in exchange for military service. In so joining Lady Calia Koan‘s Ranger Squad, where they actually remained even after the war was over as since then they had developed a real camaraderie with the Hapans. To the point they even went along with them to exile in the Unkown Regions….

Beth appears in the Next Generation Stories.

"S" is for Squidward Wallusk. He's a Quarren who works at the Mon Calamari Institute of Science, he's a scientist there, but once he served as an engineering technician aboard a star frieighter. He's also the one who invented Troka's translating chest harness so that the Talz doesn't need a translator when his Talz speaking friends aren't around.

All respect for daring to name a character Squidward.

Ahh well, T is for General Tomas Arturio.

Jedi Knight and Military Leader who lead his Army of Clonetroopers in the Assault on Geonosis, fighting heavily against both Battledroids and Geonosian Hives. His hard nosed leadership gained him the fierce loyalty of his troops, until the ill fated Order 66 turned them against him.

He escaped Geonosis with severe head wounds, with the help of his Padawan. But his Padawan was soon tracked down by Inquisitors, leaving General Tomas alone and damaged, and begging on the streets of Coruscant.

As seen in Force a wit y’
