The Force is basically magic and nature

 

Just got around to watching the finale.

Awesome action. Messy story.

I rank this show an overall 7/10, which is the lowest I’ve ever rated a Star Wars project. This is sadly at the very bottom. It had some great highs but some bad lows.

 

I’m mixed on it too, but surely it’s better than the Book of Boba Fett and the last season of Mando.

 

Would a person with no brain have much in the way of a subconcious?
Would such a person be able to use the Force in any way?

In ESB Yoda says;

I have a hard time seeing that learning to concentrate and learning control does not use the brain in any way.

Obi-Wan says this;

This makes the point that feeling the Force is not enough and could be dangerous if one also does not learn to control it.
That just turning your brain off and letting your instincts/impulses guide you could lead to the Dark Side.

Take Anakin and his massacre of the Sand People. I think he lost control and gave in to his most base instincts and worst impulses. Someone hurt him so he hurt them, as many as he could find.

And in AotC he says this;

Think, that is what one can use the brain for.

I think that what ANH and ESB said is that letting go and opening up your mind is the first step in connecting to the Force and feeling it. To unlearn your preconceived notions. But then what needs to happen is learning to control it, building up a new mental framework and discipline. And I can not see how the mind/brain is not relevant here.

This does seem to equate loss of body parts with loss of Force ability.

Just been rereading the episode reviews. The most popular vote for finale was 9 out of 10...I knew it was divisive but wow did it all blow up after the finale. Well art should leave it's mark.
Need to see Darth P again so bad
