The Acolyte Official “The Acolyte” Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I think we could have more things from book and comics HIgh Republic in those small kids series than Acolyte.

 

I'll say this:

The High Republic-era series known as The Acolyte really has me interested in reading more of, well, The High Republic series of novels, even if they don't have anything to really do with The Acolyte TV show itself.

Guess I'll get back to reading those novels!

 

I know it's a different medium, so it won't be possible to ask specific questions about any character, but I think the HIgh Republic books in Acolyte will be a bit like Tales of Jedi for KOTOR, meaning some of the characters will relate to it, maybe even some stuff like Nihil armor, but generally it's going to be referred to as the distant past, not very far away, but still.

So according to some Disney Exec. this show is ‘amazing’.

 

I'm very excited for this show regardless, but you know what would be the absolute icing on the cake? If it had really high quality lightsaber choreography. We haven't had a truly excellent saber duel since Revenge of the Sith. Actually maybe there were one or two in Visions.

 

The Acolyte reaching Andor levels. Im beyond hyped for this show. Show us the political and spiritual. Like Bor was hyped for Andor im beyond hyped for Acolyte.

The Acolyte summary with some production stuff at the end. Lesley Headland will be directing the first episode. Its probably 8 episodes, but I would love 10-12 episodes. This might be the most expensive Star Wars show.

Since this will the start of a new era, do you think it will start with an opening prologue. Maybe similar to what Rings of Power. Tells of an evil thats defeated but is rising again soon. I suspect the premiere episode will be the longest maybe an hour or more. And it will be mostly show us this new era with exposition with characters in the Jedi order and Galactic Republic, then you have characters in outer rim that will become connected to the sith.

Brief Old Republic look and see Jedi and sith fight in shadows. You are told the wars of the sith and jedi, destroyed mutch of the Galaxy and since sith's great defeat by the Jedi, the galaxy been on an era of healing for 900 years.
