Rainbow, why are putting [ ] around the username? I think it's being finicky with the tagging feature.

 

I thought that I was suppose to do that. I always put a [] around the username, but I space too.

Most of the tags I get don't have that [] around them. For some reason when you use the tag feature I don't get alerts. Not sure why though the tagging feature is finicky. And I'm not sure it's 100% reliable

 

Falcon is right about the [ before the user name. In a fic I read two things made the tags not work, putting punctuation like a colon or comma right after the name, like this: "Briannakin--" instead of a space right after and having more than 10 tags in a post; an author had to split them and do five in one and five in the next one; that one may or may not work differently now. I still like tagging more than a conversation with each reader for fanfics.

The alerts are being finicky. I haven't been getting them for a bunch of different threads, not just this one.

 

I follow the post, so even if the tags go crazy, I still get a notification.

But if you follow a lot of posts and/or don't want to know EVERY TIME someone posts, then I don't know what to say.
