Thank you! It is a pleasure making them and adding colour to the place. Not all are mine but most are as you can see in this thread.

I think you might enjoy the next batch as it has been a lot of fun to do. Just working on the last few before I'll upload and set them up.

I noticed the 'Misery' banner and figured the quality work was familiar ... oh wait ... is that ... one for the, the ... Zillo Beast? *blinks through tears* One of the best TCW characters ever

 

Thank you! That is the Zillo beast indeed, currently featured in the SWTV forum. I wonder if we'll see the creature again… they had plans for it.

I just added now one for the SWC based on a familiar western.

 

I should have know that the Misery banner was from you. Silly me!

For a time, it was going to be the "The War of the Words" banner but "Misery" felt more fitting to the FanFic section

It is fun doing the banners. I do have more proper banners in the works and several artworks (Kanan, Ahsoka [points to avatar] and a few others)

 

Since the Dancing Ewoks won the 20th Anniversary Forum Feud, I had the pleasure to create a banner for their victory.

Yay, an art update.

First up is the newest. Some of you would have seen my entry in the SWC/Art challenge, Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus.


Also, a new banner has gone live for the Welcome New Users forum. It is animated and takes a minute to swap through each era, five in total.

Imagery from Wookiepedia, sourced from Fantasy Flight Games's Destiny, The Card Game, Armada, X-Wing Miniatures… and the cover to an issue of Star Wars Insider.

The Dark Knight

I've been working on this composition for some time as a change of pace and something fun. I did a small photoshoot, which is something I haven't done in ages and plan to do more. All elements I've captured in camera, photographed and composited together and post processing work on it. Posting it now for the 80th Anniversary of Batman.

These are both stunning re the use of light and dark to show light and dark themes - I especially enjoyed Diana as it seems she is listening to the Universe to get her strength. Way to go, Diana and Bruce, in your ongoing appeal! These pieces really stand out. (deviantArt has a contest with monetary prizes being handed out on Apr. 3, by the way. It's grand to cheer on folks or make an entry oneself!)

It is hard to pick a favourite between those two. I love who Diana is and what makes up her core... and always been a fan of Batman since I was little. I felt like I started something here with Diana and Bruce… I was contemplating something Marvel next but I feel I need to complete the 'trinity' and do one of Clark.

Thank you for the heads up on the dA contest, @pronker. I might have missed the boat but I am always curious to see some of the amazing entries and which ones are the chosen ones.

 

It has been a while since I've updated my own thread.

A lot has been going on, some are still ongoing though enough about DRL. I've been meaning to show off some of the pieces I've done since.

First up, a photo manipulation to create a character portrait of Corran Horn for The Last Stand RPG:

Reference of Owen Grady from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, robes from Mace Windu and the backdrop is from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

For Jurassic June, I did a sketch of a Parasaurolophus.

A hadrosaur - duck-billed dinosaur.

There's probably a couple more I'm missing but I'll catch that in another update. Also been getting back into 3D work though when something more substantial is done, I'll show some off. At the moment, I'm planning my piece for the current SW Art Challenge.

 

Excellent hadrosaur I am picturing it standing in a reed-filled pond with the light reflecting on it and also on the pond.
