Yes, yes....'tis all smoke and mirrors. :p TBS was before my time so I feel obligated to bash something as my way of welcoming this thread back from the depths.

-The droid voices in ROTS sucked...and were annoying and distracting
-AOTC suffered as a film from all of the content+length cut from the AOTC final duel.
    -MORE to come...

The instant I read that my mind went to Bill Cosby's story about making breakfast. Why, you must ask? Well because a nutritious breakfast is important. Go to the 4 minute mark to que up the good stuff.

Your bash will be like chocolate cake for breakfast.

Is it just me, or does re-opening this place seem like someone's getting things backwards?

I mean, we shouldn't need a 'sanctuary' for people who express critical views of the SW films. People should be able to express their opinions, positive or negative, in the regular threads and be treated respectfully by other posters. If a certain element of the gusher population is being so disruptively abrasive towards alternate opinions, shouldn't those posters be disciplined to keep things in line instead of corralling us into this 'safe zone'?

JKH dude it's for fun. It's for the anniversary. We re-opened the TPM Defense Force as well. Check that out and post there!

This is anachronism, posture, masque, a parade with color. I remember the days when there was a real, initial, visceral sense of betrayal. There had been nothing to prepare us for what got foisted. The TPM trailers, by Jove, showed not a jot of the real Jar Jar. Jake Lloyd was strategically edited. By the time of AOTC our expectations were duly conditioned. This honorary tribute cannot relate what occurred. It is a figure in the carpet circumscribing the incommunicable.

Because a lot of discussion threads end up turning into a bashfest, and then wind up locked. So in a way with this thread, folks can bash to their heart's content, and avoid derailing new/existing threads. ;)

I wanted to offer a glimpse for newer users into how things used to be around here and how they've evolved. Also there is a real tangible nostalgia attached to these various threads. Both this thread and the TPMDF were huge parts of the TPM forum culture for years. I think it's important to acknowledge that and embrace it, even if the forums have moved on to no longer needing them.

Bacon's got the cashmere slippers, the Japanese Silk Heffner Robe, a box of Castro's knock-off Calidad Superior cigars and a lifetime supply of Dos Equis...

He is the most in-tres-ting man on the boards.
What you really should ask, is what else he's doing on the couch.

BTW, his mere presence BASHES the entire PT into oblivion.
