Aside from having bragging rights over 3rd & 4th place teams, 2nd gets you nothing they don't get.
Less so if they win a trophy

 

Don't the 4th team have to play a qualifying round?

Plus I'm pretty sure you get a bigger payout for 2nd place

 

No qualifying anymore, but some of the money is split 40-30-20-10 between the top four. This season that pot was about 70 million.

This is actually helpful. Even if Liverpool win mext week, they were second, or the first loser. Therefore it doesn’t matter if they win, so I don’t need to worry about it.

 

If you think not winning trophies doesn't matter, I feel bad for you

Now I desire more than anything for #richielogic to become a thing.

 

Clearly, what we need to do is all post around August our expectations for the season, so we can record them, and revisit next May to see who has actually had a successful season relative to expectations, and avoid anyone using #RichieLogic from shifting goalposts.

 

August last year is full of howlers (including from me ;D ). There are too many to quote, so I'll go with this one.

 

Can't find it, but I'm pretty sure I called the Peter Bosz hiring at Dortmund something incredibly positive and a good move for the team.

But to be fair, I have my doubts that the players Mourinho has continually thrown under the bus (lol) the entire season are unhappy.

If it were true, surely there would be a history of it you could point to, where the same thing has happened at other clubs who employed him. But that history doesn't exist. It's simply not there for Manchester Untied fans to see.
