Bale is definitely a headache for Madrid.

Difficult to shift because of his wages & injury issues.

    Who would want him?
    Who could afford him anyway?

    He's nearly 30 & earns like £15m a year.
With 3 years remaining on his contract still he'd be very expensive to buy let alone pay.

For someone who has only played about 80 of a possible 150 La Liga matches in the last 4 years that doesn't seem like a good investment.

He's great when he's fit, but will he stay that way?
He could easily just end up being another Alexis Sanchez. Which is why I think United should steer clear of him.

If he didn't have the injury issues, any team outside City and Liverpool would take Bale.

Like United and Sanchez, Bale will move on with Real paying a portion of his existing salary and if he wants to play he'll take a little pay cut. It's odds on likely he would move for a nominal fee (like Sanchez will) .

Bales main issue is injury, his quality is undoubted. He's just far too injury prone.

Was rumoured for a good while that they would, but called somewhat into question by Luverkusen making UCL. Good signing, though. This team will have all the pieces they need to win the BuLi next season.

Rumours going around Pep might join Juventus.
    Can't see it happening.

Though if he wins UCL next season he might try going elsewhere, there's nothing else left to achieve at City.

Ah, dear Thorgan....another kiddo wasted by Chelsea because FIFA allowed us to abuse the loan system.

Hazard and Brant signed and its not even technically the off-season in Germany, with the final of the Pokal this weekend. All that's left to do now is not accept calls about Sancho, and figure out if Izak is getting sold, loaned out, or given a chance to play in Dortmund next season. It's already a successful offseason.

Edit: Oh, yeah, and Schulz is already signed too.

Out of curiosity, I would if anyone here has a guilty pleasure second team - which they secretly follow?

Weirdly enough I follow Auxerre in Ligue 2. When I was a kid, I played the old FIFA 95 game, and since Auxerre was always first in the French Division (because they were the only A team) and they were very good, I usually played as them. They suck now, but I do follow them.

Assuming they're not banned from it next season. If they are, that's a decent reason to leave.

And good for him if he does go. Finally a team without Messi or the ability to out spend every league opponent.

My second side is Werder Bremen, Bremen being my Mom‘s home town. So nothing guilty about it.

Not really, perhaps my local side Forrest Green a bit but almost all my dads side of the family support Crystal Palace so following that was inevitable.

I would say that I have a bit of a bias against Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, the former two due to the questionable money that's bought their success and the latter due to having to deal with the media's(espeically the BBC) IMHO constant bias in their favour. So whoever is up against them tends to be who I'm rooting for, not with much success this season. ;)
