Even though I think VAR is a potentially powerful tool in the right hands, I still struggle to understand how a goal can be judged offside on VAR by the length of someone's big toe.

 

Indeed, that's not a clear & obvious error even if it's technically correct under the rules.

I welcome the increased use of the monitor by the referee. It should be them making the decision on field as much as possible, VAR should simply advise they look again at a particular incident

United have been the better side but my god another penalty

 

The right call though.

United haven't been great, but also unlucky with hitting the post twice and having a goal ruled out by VAR (which was correct, Greenwood obviously offside).

 

It's a soft penalty. It's probably right as Martial appears to be pulled back. If the ref hadn't given it I don't think VAR would have overturned it though.


Their keeper has been very good tonight though

 

Yeah he's been great.

Though a few times United have overplayed or taken too many touches and wasted opportunities.

 

For a neutral this game has been great (ignoring how poor the first half was).

Brilliant defending from Copenhagen and their goalkeeper has been superb
United looking brilliant going forwards until they then start to overplay
Copenhagen's Falk looking dangerous
Post hit a few times.

I've really enjoyed it because even though they've not yet hit the target, Copenhagen have looked dangerous when in United's third.
