Spurs lost the CL final more than Liverpool won it by being better.

Conceding a penalty after 1 minute.

Liverpool then didn't score again until the 87th minute.
Spurs wasted a bunch of good scoring opportunities after handing Liverpool the advantage. They could have done much more to win that final with the chances they had.

Poch is a Top 4 manager, he's not a League winning manager.
His teams don't have the mentality to go all the way, they break when the pressure is truly on to go that extra step.

I know Everton recalled Pickford, but we're not winning this with that line-up.

Play your best team, then if they don't perform at least more of the blame can be shifted into the players for not trying hard enough. Ole can't do that if he makes it difficult from the start.

Dortmund are going to get exposed. I have zero expectation of a win, very low expectations for it being reasonable. Bayern are going to show their class and much some yellow and black ass.

Sadly, this won't extinguish my larger hopes, and I'll continue to hang on, telling myself the title is decided by points dropped against lesser sides

Ole gets another win with a weird team selection. So I guess he's justified because it worked.
But I don't get it, what does Mata offer that VDB doesn't? VBD is quicker and technically capable, yet Ole would rather play Mata & McTominay? Why?
If Pogba doesn't play then VDB should, can't rely on Bruno to do everything.

Welp, based upon Liverpool’s line up, this can be 5-0 either way.

 

I'm not watching, but I'm confused how Liverpool are supposed to be setting up with Salah, Mane, Firmino & Jota together when they normally only play with 3 forwards.
Is one of them in midfield?

 

Firmino I suspect will drop deeper as a linking midfielder.

Salah, Mane and Jota will be the lead trio.

 

Is Thiago injured?

He hardly seems to have played since he arrived.
Without Fabinho they could do with his passing ability.

 

Well he knows they're defensively suspect, pressing means City can't get the ball forward easily.

Jesus also isn't as reliable as Aguero. City still depend a lot on him & Fernandinho.
I don't know if Pep is the type of manager who can reinvent this team and replace the great players who have moved on, retired or are now declining
