So the ref overturned a penalty he awarded because of minimal ball contact.
I mean, at least he did it himself instead of VAR but it was IMO too close to tell. So I expected he'd stay with original decision.

The re-take for United's penalty was correct.

Sorely lacking in creativity though with two holding midfielders. Struggling as expected to break WBA down

WBA defended well and the keeper made some good saves.
Tough side to break down, as Spurs discovered.

But there was too much overplaying at times from United, not enough movement to create the space required.
Still haven't cracked how to play well against teams like this.

with their loss yesterday, barcelona off to their worst league start in 29 years. 11th in the league, lost pique and busquets yesterday to injury.

rough. koeman may not make it to christmas.

yeah they probably should have sold messi when they had the chance. now they’ll lose him for nothing to city at the end of the season.

Yet Greizmann will turn up for France.

So much talent in that Barca team, but not the results.

what a performance from digne today, two beautiful assists.

72mil for pepe is looking to be among the worst of so many awful arsenal transfers to choose from, lol.

what? verane's issue is not motivation. it's a lack of chemistry with any cb other than ramos. he'll be madrid's next captain, most likely. nothing like pogba and griezmann, who just play lazy for their clubs.

Varane plays well for France, so his issue can't just be only playing well with Ramos.

he plays well for madrid, too, save a game or two per season. same can be said for nearly every world class player.

my point was that he is not comparable to pogba and griezmann.

good look at camavinga today, i don't think he played in our first game against rennes. he's going to be a hot commodity for the big clubs soon, i think.

missing the workrate of kante and pulisic in this game.

what a beauty of a long ball from mount. great first goal.

    Donny is starting!

Though the back 4 is still the same.
Given the schedule going forward is very hectic, really should be resting players as much as possible. Tuanzebe can easily play, so can Williams

    Interesting front 3.
Seems like the right set-up to break down a defensive side.

Just got to not defend like idiots again as we did in Istanbul

chelsea were god-awful today, and very fortunate to win and thus go through to the KOs. lots of rotation in the squad though, so hopefully all are ready for spuds.

Bruno is proper United Captain material.

This is the second game he's given the ball to someone else when he was on a hat trick instead of scoring himself.

    Leadership & team dedication

It's going to really suck watching Sancho leave this summer and Håland the summer after that

But, hot damn, they are phenomenal

Great for Dan James to get a goal.

VDB offers so much playing deep, especially if Pogba isn't playing.
Too defensive against WBA because of two holding midfielders.
He should start against PSG. Maybe with Matic instead of Fred.

Poor defending though. Miscommunication, allowing too many chances that better teams wouldn't have wasted.

doesn’t haaland have a release clause in his contract for the end of this season? he did in FM20 so I’m assuming it must be true
