I think he should at least have been given to the end of the season to try & turn things around.
Look at Hasenhüttl, it's not that long ago Southampton lost 9-0 and he looked like he was going to be shown the door.
But look at the team now, doing really well because the board stuck with him & gave him time to turn it around.
Ole has been retained despite some bad results, because United are prepared to let him have time to develop the team his way.

And it's pretty shameful to let the media announce a sacking before the club does so officially.

Agreed he moved to Chelsea about a job or two too soon but you hire a legend like he is then you support and give him time.

    Newcastle for Lampard next?

'The players had no part in his dismissal, he played his cards and they didn't work, maybe he was too young and maybe the job was too soon for him.'

Frank Lampard on Andre Villas-Boas sacking in 2014.

It works for Chelsea though, they've been very successful considering the way the handle managers

He's going to leave with the club on fire, but at least they'll be higher up the table when the smoke starts.

Dortmund have cycled through managers as if they are Chelsea-lite since Klopp left, and Tuchel is the only one to bring them a trophy. But everywhere he's gone, there's been several major conflicts with players and with front office people. He's going to get some good results on the pitch, he's going to piss people off, and he's going to leave. I imagine the rest of this year will be fine, with the "new manager" bump help to right the ship. I imagine results next year will be fine on the pitch. But, off the pitch, you'll start to hear about things that aren't working properly, or someone having issue with him. And then, right about Christmas 2022, he'll be sacked.

Well he could easily play this game.
    Hopefully he'll come on later.

Strong line-up though, the main front 6 that got us 3rd last season.
And Tuanzebe in defence, nice for him to start a game. He should be playing more.

Even better the ManU goal was disallowed for the same knock into the keeper that happened when Sheffields goal was scored.

VAR being inconsistent again, nothing new.

VAR had nothing to do with those, the ref made a call and VAR didn't agree there was a clear and obvious error by the ref.

VAR isn't there to guarantee consistency (although you'd think it should be) it's just there to call out obvious ref errors or microscopic offsides.

Either both goals should be given or neither.

The push on De Gea was arguably more of a foul than Maguire on Ramsdale.

I absolutely do not disagree there regarding the all or nothing but that's not VAR's call. VAR's job is to ensure the ref hasn't made a clear and obvious error. Both challenges that effected the goalkeeper could have been given either way. He agreed with one challenge and penalised the other.

    Neither was clear and obvious.

I would also disagree over which foul was more egregious. I felt neither should have been given in all honesty

This is why we won't win the league.

Awful defending, can't break down the worst team.
    So slow & predictable.

Can't say I'm surprised though, had enough trouble beating Sheffield last time.

Greenwood off and Martial left on??

Total mess up at the back for goal 2

Just not at the races tonight but Martial was absolute garbage... again
