    West Ham beating Spurs

Now Spurs losing isn't a total shock, it is proving that Mourinho is a busted flush these days

    Watched the united match today

they need to sell Martial, he had no interest in playing today. I wouldn't have him at Barrow with the effort he puts in. They also put too much down the left and ended up in too many cul de sacs

    Rashfords penalty was beyond soft

United strikers don't get much service in general.

But Martial hasn't been good recently, he's certainly not the player he was last season.
He's not really a 9, never has been.
And he can't play on the left because Rashford is better there.

Pardon? Cavani gets service and scores or gets close to scoring

Martial gets no service because he's out on the left playing where Rashford. If he actually played as a centre forward where he alledgedly wants to play he'd get service as the wide men would be drilling in crosses or there would be balls over the top from Fernandez for him to use his pace ala Cole and run onto the ball and score. The reason he gets no service is because he puts no effort in and is out of position. He probably puts no effort in because he gets no service but he gets no service because he's out of position all the time.

Sell him. He has so much quality within him but he just uses it all wrong and it's clear he isn't listening to Solskjaer because if he was he'd be playing better (there aren't many better strikers to learn from)

United strikers rank very low in shots on target per 90mins.
The only United players in the Top 40 are Rashford & Fernandes.

Cavani gets hardly any opportunities he doesn't create for himself.
Granted he often comes off the bench in the PL, so that may be a factor in such statistics.

    Still, Martial should do better.
Hopefully he can, I'd hate to see him go elsewhere and be great.
Greenwood can hopefully get more opportunity up front if Martial is not doing well.

Jamal Musiala is looking like the real deal to me at Bayern. He's breaking all kinds of records there and he's only 17. Could be one of England's most exciting attacking talents if he commits to the senior squad, but with internationals coming up at the end of March, Germany are keener to get him to commit to them instead, and TBH they need him more right now. England might wonder what could have been if he ends up playing for Germany instead.

Kloppo’s mother died a couple of weeks ago, and now Allison’s father has drowned to death. Very grim times and made worse by travel restrictions.

    Yes, awful news.

Terrible to lose someone that way, even harder when you can't travel to be with your family.

No Martial up front for United, so it's either Greenwood who is unproven in that position or Rashford who doesn't like playing there.

McFred midfield as expected with the slow CB pair.
Can't say I expect a win from this, allowing Chelsea to play and expecting to counter-attack isn't as effective as attacking and pressuring their back four.

Cavani is injured and Martial has been beyond useless for all season, who else do United play up front?

Fred and McTominey has been by far your most potent midfield so who else do they play?

you are impossible to please, it's beyond amusing.

this is the kind of game in which i'd really like thiago silva out there. in spite of recent form, can totally see fernandes turning christensen into a pretzel.

good wins today for spurs and arse.

Our most potent midfield is Pogba & Fred/Matic.

Fred & McTominay lack any passing range, struggle to get the ball forward which forces Bruno to come deeper and then limits his effectiveness and supply to forwards.
It's why Bruno is seen as going missing in games against the big sides, because we play too defensive and he gets no midfield support.

But Ole has to protect his slow CBs with holding midfielders instead of play Bailly which works better and makes a higher line

Pogba injured and whilst I'll agree his has recently hit some form of form for you, he's still be bobbins for large portions of the season (not martial bad though to be fair) his lack of consistency is very clear to see.

Bailly is too injury prone and maybe Ole is gradually returning him to the fold in the hopes a gradual return will enable him to get past his injury issues. Playing in a high intensity game like this could cause him issues and then you lose him again or you leave him out, play him in a less intense game to get strength back into the legs/muscles and then rest him again. Build him up ready for the latter end of the season when games will come thicker and faster.

But, no. Play Bailly, carry the injury risk then whine about playing Bailly when his hamstring goes again. Play Martial and then moan because he does bugger all, play Pogba and then moan because he's inconsistent.

    It's hilarious

I don’t know why you rate Ole if he gets it wrong every week.

since being humiliated by Spurs, he’s gone safety first against the bigger teams, and it’s worked. How many defeats in these games?

    edit: typo
