It'd be the most Liverpool thing ever for City to **** up only for us to not capitalise.

Leeds now drawing but Brentford a man down

Just need another Brentford goal or a Burnley equaliser please.

    Edit

City now 3-2 up. Clearly taunting Liverpool there

ac milan have won serie a on the final day of the season, first league title in 11 years. the aging striker tandem of zlatan and giroud contributed 17 goals. origi will add another large striker to that group.

Going to be interesting to see if Getafe have royally blown it right at the finish line in the La Liga relegation cluster****. For a season that started so wild it sure has settled into a pretty normal looking table.

Great to see Milan win again- a fallen giant that has resurrected from the dark depths of Serie A

granada headed down. had a penalty late in the game that was poorly taken, and would have all but guaranteed them staying up. finished 9th last year, 7th the year before.

Time to file this season away and never think of it again.

    New era next season, probably.

Granada should be a warning sign to Brentford about how badly an apparently honeymoon promotion can sour with one rough season. Quite the escape act for Cádiz, by contrast; they got out of the hot seat at the 76’ mark.

it actually wouldn’t have been. You seem to be the LFC supporting equivalent of

so you’ll start supporting the team. Win, lose or draw and not just hark back a to 20 year glitch?

and support the Glazers for the obscene amount on money spent?

On to more important things; what a season so far! Two cups won, a third possible. But even with a loss in that; two cups won!

The Glazers are the reason the team is where it's at right now.

Spending money means nothing if you spend it badly, like wasting £80million on Maguire who can't be sold for half that anymore.

This season almost ruined the legacy of the club, not just because it's the worst performance in the PL era but also because we nearly had our League Titles record equalled and The Treble surpassed.
Anyone who runs the club and allows that to happen should be removed.

If the Glazers can't show they care about protecting what the club worked hard to achieve and pushing it to keep achieving, they don't deserve support.

Woodward was the brains behind your transfer dealings. The Glazers may have had a say but Woodward was the main man.

You also only got the record in Fergies final year. There is nothing intrinsically special about your record and it will go and go again soon.

Another team will eventually will the treble (ignoring the fact one already has). Just like another team will eventually do an invincibles season.

You're not special, get over yourself.

Getting Ronaldo back was a stupid decision, a decision made above the manager. It was for shirt sales, social media likes and pride.

It was an idiot mistake that Manchester United FANS welcomed because of sentimentality.

so you really have no room to complain about the board and their signings when you welcome their signings.

i should also point out that before Ferguson, Manchester Untied were mediocre but also liked signing the overrated superstar, like Brian Robson.
    They’ve reverted to type.

edit: and the only two reasons you bought Maguire is because Leicester suckered you and you had to beat Liverpool in bragging rights on the highest priced defender in the world.

    lol

Without CR7 we'd probably be 10th, he's scored almost all our goals this year.
He has limitations sure, but he's also one of the only players who has come out of the season not looking like ****

We bought Maguire because we heard City wanted him, same reason we got Sanchez and paid him stupid money.
Because the Glazers & the people they put in charge aren't football people, they care about marketing.
They like Pogba because his social media following is high, not because he's the right player for the team.

I'd rather the Glazers and the people in charge of transfers spent smart instead of spend big.
Villa just signed Kamara for free, a good player in a position we've needed to strengthen for years.
Barcelona have signed Kessie for free, same thing again.
Why couldn't we do that kind of deal? Because the people running transfers at the club are incompetent.
Could've signed a CDM like Zakaria in January for around £5million, significantly improving the midfield, but didn't do it.

Liverpool did a different Treble in 2001 (League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup) & City have done the Domestic Treble (which barely gets talked about because nobody cares what City do).
If another the does the big Treble as United have, fine they deserve it.
At least United did it first, but it's the greatest achievement in English football and the only team United fans should want to do one better (The Quadruple) should be United or nobody.
If it's likely another team could do it, the mentality of the players should be to do what they can as a team to make it as hard as possible.
But as we saw this season, the players don't care about fighting to protect the club's or their own reputation.
It wouldn't have been acceptable a decade ago, it shouldn't be now.

Arsenal's Invincible season may well be matched eventually, but they shouldn't want it to be and they should put in as much effort as they can to ensure it doesn't happen.

Oh you laugh now but in a week Pep will be giving a press conference about their friendlies and he'll go off on this tangent about how "Richie on the Star Wars website, you know, he doesn't respect our accomplishments, you know, the entire internet doesn't respect Manchester City and only wants Liverpool to win."

He's right to the extent that you don't hear about it much, because they don't have fans all over social media harping on about how great they are.
Easy to forget about it once the season is over.

If it were one of the other big clubs winning a treble or back to back league Titles, we'd be hearing about it all summer and probably the start of next season.
