    Think my TBR pile is a mountain at this point. Thankfully I have a newer Kindle now and can add them there as I sadly don't have room to build my physical library as much as I'd want. That and where I live it's hard to get any books in scifi, fantasy, or other fiction I enjoy, in English. Which means ordering and it's just cheaper in many cases to buy it for the Kindle.

    My roommate got me a bookshelf for my birthday because my to read pile was taking up too much space on the floor haha

    Kindle is a blessing. There was a book in French by a favorite author of mine, and with Kindle I was able to translate it into english as I read along.

    Lol, yeah. I have some bookcases but most are already full and still there are books laying around.

    I caved and started double filling the shelves lol. It doesn't look the prettiest but what can ya do lol.

    I still like having hardcopies myself, especially of books I deem necessary to use for reference and that I love.

    When I still had my full library of books I had them triple in some spots, double in others, and still had no room.

    Definitely. Love having physical copies of favourites. And they get lots of use, especially lately from friends who don't want to borrow from libraries during covid. I'm running one from my house at this point lol

    Have either of you watched the docu called “Out of Print” narrated by Meryl Streep? Its fascinating. It contains interviews from authors, Jeff Besos, Scholars, and more about the history and future of the written word.

    ALL my bookshelves are double stacked sideways piles. There are a couple soft covers that are triple stacked in places.

    Presently I have two and a half stacks of unread books right now. Actively reading in five books (Two Star Wars, One NonFic, One Reference, and Classic just for kicks), finished Canto Bite tonight and started The Empire Strikes Back From A Certain Point of view immediately. I have computer games I want to play, but instead lately I keep resorting to reading books instead.

    Addie I don't think I could fit a triple stack on my shelves haha. I have been stacking on top and it just keeps getting perilously high lol.
    My to read pile is currently at 44 books, not including new jedi order I want to reread lol. Any money I've been saving from not going out during covid has apparently gone to online book shopping lol.
