Mind you, this was back in 2011.

(I graduated from college last December. High School in 2012.)

Also, yes, it was very not fun. My house was nowhere near the damage zones, nor was any of my family hurt. That aside...yeah. There's a reason I finished HS in the mall.

Yeah, which is why I didn't chime in with the inquiries if you were OK, since I remembered you mentioning it here on or in the GoL several years ago. Teaching history at your alma mater? That won't be without a sense of irony for you and your students since you were once sitting where they are now...literally. Well, almost.

One of my friends recently started teaching at our high school. We've all agreed we never used to realize how young our teachers were haha. Now that we're that age its like, oh no, they were not the old and all knowing adults we assumed they were haha.

That happens here. My daughters house mate recently started teaching at the primary school they met at!! She's 22!!! My niece has been teaching at her old high school since she was 23!!

Strictly speaking, I could have been teaching a couple years ago. That is, if I hadn't transferred schools during the process of getting my degree, which put me back a tad.
