Mini Series The Book of Boba Fett 1.04 - Chapter 4 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

A rancor I can understand. But a ronto!? Imagine if in Jurassic Park it was a brontosaurus that was stalking the characters in the building instead of the velociraptors. That’s what we’re dealing with here.

 

The ronto is the mouse/bird/rabbit in this scenario.

I kind of hope this thread doesn't become too long. That would mean the episode is universally loved. The most divisive always seem to have the longest threads.

Also, I'm assuming this episode will give us a very big indicator as to where this is all heading. It has to, really.

Yes optimistically it should be longer. And 5 minutes of Boba riding the Rancor accidentally stepping on Niktos please.

I predict the insiders/leakers/clickbaiters will proclaim Star Wars is in trouble and KK will be fired.

 

Well that was the most controversial Star Wars scene ever with the Majordomo introducing us to his minordomo.

 

8.5 hours to go. I loved Chapter 3, and I liked the vespa's.

 

What did the Majordomo say to the minordomo?

Episode 4 was OK, but, um, why didn’t Boba just use his jetpack!?

 

So if they make life size ones are you going to buy one, and if so - Will you take it into town to show off?

 

Yes I would. Blue in color. By the way, I owned a bright green vespa moped for about 20 years! I loved it.

 

Fair enough... You obviously like that style - Hard to argue given the admission

 

I like the scene where Din flies the shiny Naboo starfighter into Boba's chin, creating no visible mark or abrasion, and then as Boba falls to his knees, Fennec gives the wing of that starfighter a stunning roundhouse kick.

 

I'm really hoping this episode knocks it out of the park. I'm reserving judgement on this show until it's all been released and I can judge it as a piece, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about its direction three episodes in.

 

I expect the non RR episodes to be pretty good.

As much as I complain about the show, I still find plenty to enjoy.

 

Although I am really enjoying this show thus far, I can see why people consider it a letdown, particularly after Mando. My prediction, however, is that Episode 4 is where this show will hit its stride and really move forward in a big way.

 

There are some pretty glaring "problems" with it right now for me. They can all be resolved depending on the direction the show takes and what is revealed later on, but I'm beginning to wish this show had been told linearly. Having a story being told in pieces through flashbacks should be intriguing and keep you guessing, but right now I'm crossing my fingers that this story will actually make sense when all's said and done.

 

Yeah, I think all can agree that Mando is better. But I’m enjoying BoBF well enough, and suspect/ hope that the second half of the season will be better.

- In flashback, Boba finds Fennec, somehow gives her her robo-stomach, they team up to take revenge on the Kintan Striders

- Firespray appearance near end of episode
- Rancor has one brief scene​
