I was anticipating that Clones wouldn't just flounder out, but that is quite the comeback!

Yes. Up from last weekend's 4 screens each for Fri-Sat-Sun, to a whopping, massive, earth-shaking 5 screens

Great Googly Moogly! That's nearly a 400% increase from last weekend, and its best weekend total in 6 weeks! I have no idea what happened there, but who cares - let's celebrate! Woo!

AOTC US BOX OFFICE TOTAL AS OF 23.2.03 : $310,523,184
AOTC WORLDWIDE BOX OFFICE TOTAL AS OF 23.2.03: $645,363,962

AOTC has passed the US total of $310.5m
It needs another $36,038 to pass the International total of $645.4m. I expect a return to much smaller figures by next weekend, so that may take a while yet, but it's still possible before the IMAX run ends on March 23rd

 

Those IMAX figures are just amazing. To put it into context:

Best weekend total since 10th-12th Jan weekend.
Best weekly total since 13th-19th Jan.
Friday's $ average per screen was the highest since 4th Jan.
Saturday's $ average per screen was the highest since 30th Nov.

TTT took a huge nose dive on Monday. Ouch! So what is the next big release suppose to be? X-men 2 in May?

AOTC IMAX will end in 4 weeks I believe. It should be able to gather about $80,000 more by then.

 

DarthMaul13, you know you are right, I just checked the release schedule and it doesn't look like the next big release will be until May with X-Men-2, unless you consider Anger Management to be a big release on April 11th.

 

I think the March comedy "Bringing Down the House" will do pretty solid in the B.O.

I wouldn't be surprised if it expanded even more, the sneak peek reaction was incredibly good.

 

I'd love to see Steve Martin have a solid hit, although the "big beautiful black woman teaches uptight white man how to live" premise makes me want to vomit. I take it they aren't going to make it interesting by having Steve Martin and Queen Latifah fall in love. Now that would be worth seeing.

 

Wow, quite the Odd Couple...
And yeah, I guess the next big release WILL be X-Men 2. Nothing until then will make much of an impact on the Box Office, I feel.

 

"The Core" will open fairly wide, even though AICN I think has already declared that it stinks.

Fantastic, that's much better than the $250+ I was hoping for. No-one's kidding themselves that this'll be one of it's best weeks, but it could well be better than the last two and that'd look good for AOTC's chances of passing the $645.4m point worldwide
