Looks like Potc3 will not top SP3 opening weekend (fri-sun) record of 151m.
It only made around 43m on friday (not counting thurs previews) and early word is it's droping on saturday to around 38-41m.
It will drop for sure again on sunday to around 34-37m so the 3 day should be around 121m at best. lol, might even make less than
Shrek3's 121.6m gross last weekend.

The only major record it has a shot at is Memorial Weekend record (fri-mon) of $122.8m set by X3.

 

I'm starting to wonder if this will be the first Pirates not to cross 300. Thursday was 14, Friday was 43, Saturday was 37, Sunday will be looking at 29.

So which film do you guys think is going to come out on top in the domestic and worldwide charts...Spidey 3, Shrek 3, or POTC3? Or could another snatch the crown, like Potter or Transformers or others...?

Spidey 3 destroyed everything in its first few days but then dropped like a stone. POTC3 has surprised many by not opening as big as expected. I think Shrek 3, even with a smaller opening than Spidey 3, could hold strong enough to creep into the lead over time...

 

I Want Shrek to win it all but i think it'll be either Potc3 or Harry5 taking the worldwide chart.
In the domestic front i think Transformer might surprise everyone and take it.

 

I want the Golden Compass to reign supreme this year. If I could see only one more movie this year that's it.
