Maybe I could start a topic about Asterix in here, and do some ads in the French and German forums.

Well, you at least didn't have to watch the movie dubbed to Swedish.

Hehe ;) I would have loved that!
The new Asterix album will be released at the end of the month, right? Sure, it's not the same since Goscinny died, but I think I'll give it a try.

Can't you just imagine a big fight between Asterix and his friends and Monty Python?

na, have you ever heard of the twelve operations of Hercule ? (the translation is from Altavista, sorry if it's not the good expression....) Ya know, like the 12 operations of Hercule ? Astéric and Obélix resisted many attacks of all sorts (ghosts, hypnotisers, pretty girls...) and won !

I definately think Idefix is the coolest!
Monthy Pyton would quit fighting and would drink tea in the afternoon, that is a disadvatage for the British....well Asterix and Obelix would win anyway....

Yeah, I can but I have not time. And the alpine slopes aren't that good here, so I mostly go cross country when I'm home.

They talk about this coconut stuff in Holy Grail, don't they?
The life of Brian is also great! "you had nothing, you gained nothing ; what did you loose? nothing!!"

It's obvious that they had made some more thinking before Brian.

    "You are all individuals!"
    "Yes, we are all individuals!"
    "I'm not"

This is gonna surprise you but it's not only English who (sometimes) have afternoon tea, I am myself a regular afternoon tea drinker when I'm at work (it's a relief before getting back to fill all the forms and check no pupils were in places unknown during the now-waning day, and an occasion to discuss with fellow workers without being interrupted every five minutes by some more-or-less brash young teen who wants himself listened to immediately)

Yep you're right and despite I'm always complaining about these children it's a pleasure to see how energic they are (and a trouble trying to guess what they'll invent today).

Lejmar, does 'Asterix in Britain' remind you of something ?
And why be violent ? This is an embassey, where people are on a neutral ground and let their disputes outside the gates.
