JCC "The bullies have won!" - things people say about this site

So, I was just looking for a comment on here on Google, and suddenly, miraculously, Google gave me this link:

- Its not what it used to be.
- Things were just getting too unbearable for me (author disclosed in link)

- There's one specific member there who is so in love with his own views and his posts suggest he's an "intellectual elitist" to the extent I truly despise seeing his name on any posts. Apparently use of SW references in the "senate" section is not ok cause TFN is a SW forum (as I was told) by said sleemo (author disclosed in link)

That's just the first page. And there are twelve!

 

This happens every time someone gets banned from a site, or just gets pushed out by the community. I was banned from a pretty popular Star Wars RP board before coming here, and let me tell you, it was one of the hardest things i've ever done keeping myself from going around and shouting about how "bad" the site is and how unfair it was, when the site was, overall, fine, and the ban was largely justified.

 

Clearly Ender.

To be fair, this is definitely one time where Ender was right to tell someone to **** off.

"It's more of a fanclub than a SW site." I'm having a hard time parsing that one.

 

The kiss on the Falcon in ESB is incredibly problematic.

I recently left there, of my own volition, because things were just getting too unbearable for me. The guy above me is right, the bullies have won over there.

there's no way to know if it's the same master rebado.

 

- The JCC of the TFN was such a weird place. The guys there would come up with the weirdest of threads to talk about...
- I would actually say the JCC was probably the most mature, simply because they could take criticism and immaturity and dish it back with just as much sarcasm and wisdom
- Heh, not from my experience. The JCC was the worst next to the PT

 

- It feels so good that JCC boards are not relevant anymore
- SuperWatto was always one of the crazy ones anyway

He's also called a "jerk".

I've been in those discussions with sinister. I've never, ever found him to be a jerk. I think he's one of the most well-mannered users on this site. It can be very, very frustrating to have nerd discussions with him, but he's never a jerk.

I know you're probably trying to be discreet but I don't care.

I see comments about the site every once in a while on Reddit, I’ll be sure to look for them now.

I had a quick browse. Looks like the main problem are the mods? That’s confusing. The one thing I’ve never had a problem with on this site are the mods.

 

I feel like this must have been like the release of Fire and Fury within the White House, with staffers both wanting and dreading a name drop.

 

There's no such thing as a "Good Mod" when you've been banned from a site.

 

I was banned from there in late 2001 for saying I had proof that the Jedi only used blue and green lightsabers in the Geonosis arena duel (other than Mace, who had purple). Which is funny because I had leaked materials in hand proving I was right, so I just let their competition have the spoilers instead.


He really holds onto ****. Sounds like a legit ban reason, though.
