When i first got star wars insider, my parents bought a subscription for me for christmas. I didn't get my first issue till like august. It was totally ridiculous.

The price of Insider here is $20. That's way too much for a magazine. I've bought 2 issues of it before.

Just got ROTS today [face_dancing] $27.95 :) Borders had put it at a special price till Sunday. After that day, it goes back to normal price - $37.95.

Well, this thread has certainly turned into a "complain about LucasFilm moneymakers" session. :p

    But to keep suit:

dash - I got mine for the same price, at JB Hi-Fi. They always have things the cheapest. And Insider, $20? That's a ripoff if ever I saw one. It's probably the reason I've never bought one . . . the most I'd pay for a magazine is $10, I guess.

    :p

Well it's $20 in Borders here anyway. I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Hey do you know the movie magazine called "Empire"?

Yes, I know Empire. I've never bought one, and as far as I can remember I've never read one either, but I've seen it in shops. Why?

Just wondering.. I buy it every month. It's pretty good IMO.

    Do you buy any magazines?

No. I used to subscribe to some gaming magazines, and after that subscription was over I haven't really bought anything. If you count The Chaser as a magazine, then I used to get that before it went bust. But in reality I haven't bought a magazine for years. All my major interests and hobbies these days aren't really magazine related.

Yeah, it was boiling yesterday. Today is quite nice though.

And in other news, I remembered that the quote for the name of this place is wrong. It originally was: "I sense something . . . A presence I have not felt since . . ." :( Oops.

Wouldn't it be: "I cense something ... a precence I have not felt since... "

:p okay that sounds worse... nevermind.

Yeah, the original one is better.

Well, that shows that all of us in here are really in tune with Star Wars.... :p

With all the quotes from the movies, I reckon it's okay if we sometimes miss a few words! After all, the Star Wars movies would be the most quotable* films of all time, mesa think. ;)

*That is a word! Haha, I had to check a dictionary for that!

[face_laugh] In all fairness though, I haven't watched ANH in about three months now.

It's been ages since I watched any of the films. I'm too busy to watch anything these days . . .

But for the record, if I watched anything it would be ANH or Empire.

Yeah, I'm doing a marathon in about two weeks time. Me and a friend have organised it all! I wonder what the saga will be like all the way through . . .

Last SW movie I've seen was ROTS back in theatres on opening weekend. Before that would have to be when AOTC was still in theatres. Actually I take that back the day AOTC came out on dvd I watched it once.

Haha. I watched the OT before ROTS came out, and attempted to watch TPM and AOTC, but it was mostly fast-forwarded . . .

I think I'm also going to include Clone Wars vol. 1 after AOTC. Not too sure where I'm going to fit the new Wal-Mar DVD though [face_thinking]

I watched TPM and the OT right before ROTS came out and was only able to get through 20 or so minutes of AOTC. I tried again when Fox aired it, but I still couldn't get through the first half hour. :p

Yeah, as I said in the Tavern, Drac, it's a fantastic play and I hope you get a part! :D

And yeah. . . I'm not sure I could make it through a sitting of AOTC ever again without the fast-forward button handy.

A couple of years ago, I discovered what good film TPM really is when I liberally applied the skip and mute buttons in harmonious tandem. :D

    And good luck, Drac!
