Yeah, this is becoming chronic and my TENS unit is dead.

 

It was a success! Lots of people showed and we probably passed out about fifty fliers, I hope we get some calls or new people showing up on the board. Not sure how many people were there, but there were always some people there, it was never dead, at least not up until 5pm which was when Phil and I left. It was going till 7pm. At times it was a crowd that hardly had room to move. Next year they will need a bigger area to hold it in, at least if it is free again, not sure about how the turnout would be if they charge an entry fee, hopefully still good.


What is a TENS unit?

 

If it is an electrical unit that contracts a muscle and then releases it. It is used in therapeutically for muscle spasms.

Glad to hear it was so successful. Where was it held?

 

I had a feeling it was something like that.


It was held at the Four Points Sheraton Conference Center which is at Speedway and Campbell.

 

OK, right near the UofA.

 

Well instead of being in Fayetteville at a parade we had to get the brakes fixed on the car.

I'm not sure how many of you are gamers... but Underground Games in Pineville is officially closed. I play mostly just
star wars miniatures... and we played there twice a month. So it looks like Rebel Base will get an influx of new people playing on the third saturday there. You guys need to come out sometime if y'all get the chance!

 

I'm really shocked that they closed. They seemed to do a good business but I haven't been down there in ages.

Jonathan, just remember that the public library has meeting space that folks can reserve to do minis games.

Holy K-wrap! An anakin_girl sighting? I was just thinking about you the other day and thinking how sad it is that we live in the same place and have never met.

 

Yeah, I kind of dropped out of the Star Wars fandom for awhile, and got swamped with Real Life (not putting "Darth" in front of it, it's actually been pretty good).

I had two babies in three years, my older son was born 4 days before ROTS hit the theater--needless to say I didn't see that movie until it was almost gone. He's about to reach his fourth birthday and an introduction to Mama's action figure collection. Looking for some more toddler-friendly SW toys for his 2-year-old brother, so let me know if any of you have any ideas.

I also left my teaching job and started graduate school in library science. So yes, I know for a fact that the public libraries here have rooms to rent out for gamers. Some branches even have gaming nights for teenagers, although I don't know specifics.

Glad to see you're still over the FanForce, Jada--I know we PMed a few years ago. And James, I thought you had dropped off the planet, gone to Hoth or something. That was totally random--with North Carolina summer coming, Hoth is sounding pretty good.

 

You've certainly been busy. If you all aren't doing anything the weekend of the May 29th-31st drop by ConCarolinas. I'll be all over that. I'm on staff.

 

I do that from time to time.

Hi everyone this is my first post in the thread my name is Brandon and I am fixing to graduate from concord high school in about 3 weeks. There isnt many SW fans in my school so im glad to find some local fans here. I cant wait for ConCarolinas to hopefully meet some of you guys.

whoo hoo finally dug out what minitures I have. Not much really to start..just the Rebel Storm starter and one Rebel Storm booster.
Now to make heads or tails of it and start trying to make a collection.
