Clone Wars Anthology (Disney-Lucasfilm Press) by Zoraida Córdova and others
Hoping that it will have some things from the unproduced episodes
Nope, here's what Jen Heddle (head of Disney publishing) had to say: "Short story retellings of different TCW episodes and arcs focusing in on one main character from each. Middle grade level. Great way to introduce kids to the show or relive for yourself!"
this maybe a beginning of new Clone wars stories.
I was hyped for like 2 seconds.

Same. That was probably the biggest disappointment out of the whole panel.
Well this sucks.
Well no San Hill in this one.
Maybe there's Barriss. Eh... actually, do I want that? Do I want more TCW Barriss? I dunno.
Season 2 and early Season 5 Barriss is the real Barriss.
Late-Season 5 Barriss is a fake!
Man this is really disappointing. I'm not sure I understand their thinking on this. They obviously understand the fans' desire for more Clone Wars content from the remaining scripts written prior to the cancellation (as demonstrated by the release of the "final" season in February), so one could conclude they also understand why those same fans want anything; book, comic book, napkin scratches by Filoni….And they put out a middle school book of adaptations as their Clone Wars content at NYCC???? When I first saw the news of the book, before the revelation, I was so excited. An anthology would be a great format to tell those remaining story and would fit with the way the show originally aired. I'm really hoping there's a secret Sunday reveal that they're doing just that.
I must say, in these strange times, that it makes me indescribably happy that Clone Wars is still a thing.
You know what's really cool about this book? Kickass fan artist Lorna-ka, who's done a ton of TCW, Rebels, Republic Commando, Rogue One, and a bunch of art from various other SW stuff, art that you've probably seen shared around a *lot* the last few years because it's awesome, got officially picked up to illustrate Stories of Light and Dark! I don't know about y'all, but that's the part I'm most hyped for atm.
It's hard not to want this to do well enough to lead to some more TCW lit that fills in the real gaps, but it's also hard to get excited about the book itself.
That cover looks amazing and I'm not gonna lie... I kinda wanna get it for that alone, especially if there is more art like that in the book. I don't think I'll really mind retellings of previous stories if they are from a different POV than the main characters of said story. I'm honestly not sure if the stories are from a different POV to be honest, but that'll be the make or break for me I think.
TFN Main article. According to it the book is due out August 25.
Interior art. I'm guessing the original Nightsister story is either about Talzin or Ventress (personally hoping for more information on Talzin).
Maybe a story of Talzin origiin and how she became this immortal witch that even Palpatine is sceared off.
Yeah, I'm honestly so tempted right now. I love these so much.
maybe it the story of sheev and talzin's love life
Maul is Palpatine's love child.
