Taken me two and a half years, but I finally finished watching Friends all the way through from start to finish, all ten seasons.

It would have been nice if they could have recorded together again at least once more.

Those McCartney songs are terrific, but were released in 1982.
Here's what he was up to in 1980. Incidentally, John heard this before his death and praised it in one of his final interviews.

John and Paul had made their peace in 1980 which makes John's death all the more heartbreaking. They weren't going to be best friends anymore but seemed to be moving on from the past bickering. I always loved Temporary Secretary from McCartney 2. And Coming Up is one of my fav. solo Macca songs.

Yeah, true. They even hung out and partied in the 1970's.

Coming Up, Temporary Secretary, and One Of These Days are all nice tunes from McCartney II. Waterfalls is my fav though. It's a quirky little album.

Indeed. He recorded it at home by himself.
This is my fav tune on the album and one of my fav McCartney songs in general, including his work with The Beatles.

I love this song. I just hate the polar bears line lol. Could have been an all time classic. Sampled by TLC in Waterfalls.

I like the lyrics to Waterfalls. Very heartfelt, yet whimsical too.
    Lots of similes.

And yeah, that TLC thing bummed me out at the time. :p

I really like Dominoes from his new album. It's sad that John isn't alive today. We need his political comments. And his music.

Its probably not the best McCartney song ever but one I really enjoy is below. I like the bass line and the brass section is all. Haven't listened to a lot of Beatle related music probably because an x girlfriend was obsessed with them

What's the deal with the Beatles anyway?

I mean I understand they changed the game or revolutionized music but they didn't invent it did they? I don't know

    Another I liked is

Silly Love Songs is catchy but that and Say Say Say and Ebony and Ivory are the reasons a lot of folk use to put him down. :)

I wish John was alive today so he could have lived his life with his family and friends. But yeah, the music he would have composed is sorely missed by millions of fans like me.

As for politics, that got him in a lot of trouble with the US govt. and with a lot of people who wanted him dead.

Some Time In New York City is an awesome album he made in 1972. Most people hate it, but whatever. The complete songs aren't available on YouTube, so maybe even Yoko has tried to keep it on the DL.
I've got on CD and vinyl.

John said what he thought and I've always admired him for that. @Jar-Jar Binks it (Silly Love Songs) was popular but kind of fed into the "MaCartney has lost it" narrative of the 80's.

Was it ever a thing about who was more popular Paul or Lennon?

    I didn't know that was a thing

I will, for sure. I like period movies. The last one I saw was Peter Jackson’s WWI documentary.
