Chris Sarandon had a cameo in the Fright Night remake.

I hadn't realized that the actress who played Amy in the original Fright Night went on to play Marcy in Married with Children.

Yeah, even the cast is the 80s. McDowell is so good in this role.

Chris Sarandon. Lucky man. Got to be married to Susan Sarandon. But they divorced, so, he was lucky, but not smart.

*To the producers of Twilight...Fright Night is what a real vampire film looks like* :p

I like the shots at Buffy and Twilight the Fright Night remake took. David Tennant's Peter Vincent says something about a Scooby gang (which what Buffy and her friends were known as).

Tennant as Peter Vincent was my one true favorite part of the remake. The Criss Angel parody was brilliant.

I've heard about that, I would watch the show but I don't use Amazon so no I haven't seen it. From what my friends at work say, it is a good show.

I remember 1000 Ways to Die. The was on Spike TV. I used to love Manswers as well.

Spike TV was like one of my favorite channels...

You had Catch A Contractor, Bar Rescue, all sorts of neat shows...

1000 Ways to Die was so interesting, and then later on Best Funeral Ever came around. I think it was on TLC, maybe? It’s a funeral home sort of local to me and the over the top funerals are amazing.

The Sandman is about the Eternals. Sort of Demigods. Death, Dream, Desire, etc. Personified. A magical human captures Dream, the Sandman, and causes a lot of damage because, while he was captured, people couldn't dream well. It was a comic by Neil Gaiman. Brilliantly brought to the screen.

Our favorite show to hate watch is this inane ghost hunter show where there is a retired detective and a fake medium who we are told don't communicate during their individual research on the homes they are investigating but the pair are legit real life Scooby Doo villains. Every episode ends with them telling the people they've scared half to death with their asinine investigation findings that they need to sell their house and move. Nearly every bloody episode. The "medium" will be all, "the spirit is prone to violence and you need to leave this house. Oh. You want to stay? I didn't want to alarm you but the spirit was a pedophile before he died and I sense that he wants to harm your child. Are you ready to move now?"

The only research they do is the property value. I bet her husband is a realtor.

We could always have our annual NOES watch.

    I also have NOES 2, 3, and 4.
    And A New Nightmare.
    There's The Shining.
1980, that still only counts as one!-Gimli

I've got Poltergeist which I don't believe we've watched.
Halloween, 1970s, but it still counts as 80s horror!

    That's 8 film suggestions from me. :-B
    If anyone is interested.

    Thank you!
*realizes it has been over two hours*

I'll take this one here, if you don't mind.
    *munches on chicken*

    So...*finishes chewing*
Bly Manor at some point soon eh, Ms. J?

Glad you liked the new movie @christophero30
Choose one we have in common you listed and we should watch it. Will be fun!

I've gotten rather soft in me old age and all these new horror trailers scare me off. I think after Heredity and what's it called, that pos film I bought on blu ray, oh, Midsommar, I kinda called it quits on new stuff.
The Lighthouse is good, but also, eh?

I'm more into RE watching old classics than deep diving into the new stuff.

I think this pandemic and all the stuff going on in my state and in our country and around the world has satiated any appetite I had for new fake horror movies if that makes sense?

But I do have The Others.
And Night of the Living Dead.
    And Night of the Demons.

And a bunch of old classics from the 1930s-1970s.

    Creature From the Black Lagoon.
I'll group watch that one by meself, I reckon.

Barbarian was a bit more fun horror than Hereditary or Midsommar, which were kind of dread horror. Maybe NOES 2 that is an interesting one. Or the original. Or the Shining. Barbarian is more of the don't go down in the basement horror.

NOES 2 is fine by me.
    Haven't seen that in ages.
Freddy jumps into reality at the gay kids pool party or something right?

Say, Christopher, you should grab Dream Warriors. That's arguably the best one after the original.
There are 4 packs of the first 4 NOES available in the garbage probably, no, but I mean, it should be easy to find.
    You get what I'm sayin.:p
