Looks like we're going to have to start a "Buy Horsey a jersey fund"

    Ugh @ the price.

 at the price. Maybe its because I don't buy jerseys, but that seems really high.

I'd really love it, if the Colts would stop with the penalties. Already 7 penalties for 75 yards... and the first half isn't over yet.

I just got home so I've missed most of the first half, but what I saw (a three and out) was not promising.

The Colts have 10 penalties. The Colts have more penalties than points. Not gonna win like that. :p

No kidding. Who is this team on the field and what have they done to the Colts?

Over 100 yards in penalties. That's a TD!

I haven't seen a Colts game this bad, since Mike Pagel was the QB. [face_laugh]

(For those of you old enough to remember that team :p )

Wow, we suck. The biggest thing is our consistentcy or lack of. This was the first game we were really blown out and now it's time to panic, because we got the Titans next week and more tough teams ugghhh.[face_worried]

The season is good for me. We beat the Pats.

Is that horrible that I feel this way? I think the Aggie/Longhorn rivalry has ruined me in how I view football. [face_worried]

Yeah, we won, but Belichick made some costly moves that gave us the game - like calling their final timeout while the Pats offense was in the middle of converting that fourth and inches near the Colts goal line. That was the bonehead play of the game there.

And the Colts D didn't come close to getting a sack tonight.

    Got to keep improving.

yea they did get close to a sack a couple of times. cassell ended up on his back twice, but he got it out. brock almost got him i believe.

great win either way, maybe a season saver.

I don't think there's a maybe about it. The Wildcard slots look like they're going to be tooth and nail this season, and it's always good to keep the gap between yourself and the division leader as slim as possible(and to separate yourself from the rest of your division).

Good game by the receivers. The running game still needs improvement, but I think they're working towards that. Manning seemed cool and on top of the game tonight as well. A few good things, but they really need to work on their bend but don't break on defense, as they're teetering ever so close to breaking every game(especially when opponent drives are more than seven minutes long). Not getting pressure is really hurting their style.

Have to disagree with that. The bonehead play of the game was the inexcusable penalty Thomas took after the 2nd and 2 play at the Colts 32 yard line. He keeps his hands to himself and it's 3rd and half a yard and at worst the Patriots tie up the game on a FG.

Gaffney's drop of that sure TD didn't help either, but that didn't cost the Pats the game.

Good game though. Colts were just good enough to win and the Pats were just bad enough to lose.

A dropped pass is also not boneheaded. It just happens. And would that final timeout really have mattered? It would have been the difference between 20 seconds and 40 seconds(however, I can't imagine why he would not have just taken the kick in the first place if that's what he was going to do, or why he wouldn't just have gone for it, considering the way they were running the football).

The fact that it was the last time out doesn't matter. What matters is that he called it right before his team ran a play that would have resulted in a 1st and goal. The players played the play not knowing that Belichick was calling the time out. Instead, the refs granted the time out and the Pats settle for a field goal. They traded a more-than-likely TD for 3. That was a huge swing in the game.

Belicheck shouldn't have called the timeout, but the bonehead play has to be the penalty DarthWormie mentioned. The timeout cost them, but it wasn't guaranteed to do so - it was bad luck that it cost them a first down. The penalty was an idiotic thing to do and couldn't do anything but hurt.

That said, I'm glad the Colts won.

    ditto rogue, very much ditto.

as to the timeout, he couldn't have known they'd make it. if they'd been short he'd have looked like a complete genius for calling it before the play. that ones seriously 50/50.
