Hey, I'm planning on buying the 1-5 bluray seasons box (region free) probably from amazon.uk and i got a few questions for you guys!

No official statement on the fix has been released right? Potentially I could still get sync problems?

In case i get bad S5 discs who will i have to contact for the replacement? I live in Italy.
Not sure if i should contact WB Italy cos i'm buying the uk version of it, not the one with an italian audio track.

    Thanks for helping xD

Are there problems with the box sets? And for replacements you'd have to contact Amazon UK, as that's where you got it from.

I haven't bought it yet, was just asking if the out of sync problem could still be there in 2015. For the replament I didn't mean amazon uk but the program that Warner Bros started to replace single season 5 discs.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm thinking about buying the season 1-5 set on blu-ray, and I am wondering if they still have any problems.

Maybe. Maybe not. There was no recall so if you get something from older stock, yes. The exchange is still active and takes 3 minutes of your time if you happen to get an older set.

Just an update if anyone's interested. Bought my 1-5 bluray box from amazon.uk on december and season five had still the out of sync problem, though much more on the first disc than on the second.

After contacting WB I received the corrected versions in 2 days from USA to Italy

    Cheers!

Did you have to send the original disk back? I bought the 1-5 bluray box and haven't got a chance to check it yet.

No, I still have the old ones. I just gave them my contact info and told them where i bought it. I guess they did their own research to verify my purchase.

Corrected discs are from the Collector Edition btw

Besides just better/sharper quality, does the Bluray set feature anything that the DVD set lacks?

The archives (3D models, deleted/extended scenes) on seasons 1-5. Also some easter eggs.

I believe the Blu ray has tons of extras that the DVD doesn't have. I don't have the DVDs to check, but i believe the Jedi Temple Archives are exclusive to the Blu ray, these have all the concept art, deleted scenes, and 3D models for review. Episode video commentaries are also exclusive to bluray but i believe the season 5 ones are a repeat of what was on Starwars.com during broadcast. The other season sets have unique video commentaries.

    Watto is correct.
I haven't compered them directly but you can just compare the back cover of the dvd/bluray found on amazon. Yes the archives and other things are just for the bluray. Season 6 also have 4 unfinished story reels episodes of the Utapau Arc(which can be found on the star wars website, along with the other 4).

Apart from the extras the main reason to buy the bluray are:
    - 1080p Video Quality
    - DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 found in season 3-4-5. Do NOT ignore this one and just think about the video quality. If you have the adequate audio setup I can gurantee you that a Dobly Digital 640 kbps is **** when you hear the DTS-HD MA 1509 kbps

My Season 5 DVD no longer works as of today. I don’t know if I’ll even get a new copy

I decided to reorder it. It had been a long time since I have seen some of the BTS on the blu ray

Wow, that's a really late release. I picked up the german dvd edition in the interim, seriously can't believe there wasn't an official UK release till now :)

I had to import the US Blu-ray at the time.

The UK release is available on DVD too, by the way.
