Chapter Seven: So It Begins

All time seemed to stand still as Vader stood there breathing heavily, obviously unable to accept what she had just said. Aria knew that his retaliation would be swift, and part of her just hoped that he?d grant her eternal peace and end this suffering? but, then again, doing so would prove beneficial to her and thus undesirable to him.

?So?? he sneered, his nostrils flaring dangerously. ?That?s how it?s going to be- I, Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, and to be told about my mistress- my whore??

Gulping, Aria took a step back only to find that there was no room to do so- the large canopy bed pressed back against her legs. Trembling, she leaned back to rest her hands upon the blankets, clutching at them for support lest she should faint and fall under his seething gaze.

?Answer me.?

So distraught and frightened was she that the young woman could do little more than burst into harsh sobs that left her incapable of thought or speech. ?For-forgive me, m-my Lord,? Aria wept, falling down to his feet to clutch at his legs and boots. Her tears stained his black trousers as she clutched at the cloth, wanting some angel of mercy to spare her?

Vader remained unmoved but merely glared down at her with such wrath in his eyes that it was perhaps fortunate that the young woman didn?t dare to look up at him.

?I-I?ll do whate-ever you ask,? Aria sobbed, hanging her head in shame. ?I am yours to c-co-command.?

?There?? he purred, reaching down with a gloved hand to touch her soft curls, ?that?s more like it??

Something in his voice make Aria choke on her words and suddenly become stiff? Was there ever to be a way out of this, or was she to be chained to him for the rest of her miserable existence? and perhaps beyond?

It was humiliating, but he actually helped her stand up, but no gentlemanly feelings stirred the Dark Lord to do so- a triump

That chapter was absolutely chilling. Your portrayal of Vader is very sinister, and I'm facinated where his character will go. I have a feeling that things will get alot worse before they get better (if they even do get better).

Great chapter, I cannot wait for more.

Normally, I love weddings - they're so much fun and full of promise... But THIS wedding was one I was glad to have missed - whew! Talk about tension - you could practically cut it with a knife.

Oh, poor Aria... She is not going to have an easy go of it, is she? Things just keep getting worse and worse. I really find myself sympathizing with her. She didn't ask for any of this!

Thus completed, Aria found herself married to none other than Darth Vader. No emotions filled her- she could only stand there wondering what had happened or if it had all just been a bad dream.

*shakes head* Poor girl, she doesn't know what she's gatting into.

Aria, Aria... *shakes her head* ma'pet, you wished for it and look what you got yourself into.

It's interesting you're instilled in her the ideals of the middleages - how a woman belongs to her husband and is allowed to be treated as he sees fit no matter the concequences, and no matter what the punishment.


I'm now very curious to see if Aria can melt - even a little - our heartless Vader... She has, afterall, never taken another lover.


Edit: I forgot to mention that did notice that Vader said she and their children - as if this was not an option, but something that was a foregone conclusion. Hmmm... it'll be interesting to see if/when this happens and if Aria's feelings for her captor change as she becomes his true consort... or maybe not, maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic *grins*

 

Poor Aria. I have a feeling that this couple is in for some really rocky times. I find it hard to believe that she will always comply with his wishes, especially if she ever has children with him. His actions will surely conflict to much with her morals.

 

So he actually took her up on it. Of course, I guess in his mind her willing surrender to him under the marriage was just too tempting to let go. He could have made the wedding a bit romantic. Geesh. I also guess that the man doesn't have a romantic sense to him at all.

 

I'll have to admit, it seemed like a good idea at the time but now I feel sorry for Aria. The humiliation that she's had to endure...first from her mother and now from him! Vader is such an ass in this that right now I can't see any form of salvation for her.

Maybe he's a deep sleeper and she can suffocate him with her pillow !

Chapter Eight: Wedding Night Jitters

In those final dreadful minutes when Vader all but paraded her back to his chambers- and his bed- Aria could only repeat over and over in her mind, ?This is it? this is it?? She was beyond the traditional wedding night jitters- a trip to the ?fresher would have to be made?

The moment the door to what was now their quarters slid open, the young woman rushed from his side to release the contents of her stomach. It was humiliating, and even when nothing else remained, her stomach and eyes burned at the thought of what awaited her.

All the while, Vader stood there leaning against the frame of the ?fresher?s door, neither speaking nor moving to assist her. Was he disgusted or gloating? or both?

With her cheeks flaming red, Aria disposed of the sickness and rinsed her mouth with a solution procured from the cabinets before lifting her eyes to meet his icy ones.

?I take it that you are nervous? and rightfully so.?

Fearing what awaited her in the other room and thinking that he wouldn?t dare approach her in the tiny room they were in, Aria remained silent. Already, she was feeling sick again- an oddity considering the fact that the young woman hadn?t eaten all day.

?I honestly can?t blame you,? the Sith repeated quietly though it was more than evident that he didn?t sympathize with his bride. ?Giving yourself to a man who neither wants nor cares for you-?

?Then, why am I here if not to please you??

His eyes narrowed dangerously, and his lips thinned into a curled smile, but

 

Ack! Vader is one scary dude!

His closing line made me want to crawl under my desk. Gah! I feel so bad for Aria - how in the world is she going to be able to tolerate him in her bed? If I were her, I think I'd be looking for any possible escape. And I'd also befriend a rather large bottle of rum too!

Another great chapter. Things just keep going from bad to worse for Aria, don't they? I wonder how much longer she can hold her tongue - I can see that she's starting to get angry about her position. Hmmmm... And how will Vader handle THAT?

That was so horrible what she had to go through, and I'm sure that she'll have to endure worse. Not only is she essentially getting raped, but the fact that he almost gloats over it makes it worse somehow.

I want to see where this story goes, but I know that things are probably going to get worse. I nearly teared up when Vader riped up that letter from her father. She has no more lifelines left, it seems.

 

It was then that the girl realized that he was scrutinizing her in the same way that her mother often had-and was similarly disappointed.

?Perhaps I should give you back to your parents for a few years? allow you to mature and grow up a little??

First, I?m incredibly sorry for how long it had taken me to finally sit down and read this wonderful story! The last chapter ended with such a brutal cliffhanger that even skiing couldn?t distract me from it. I hope you don?t mind a long and insane review?I?m in a mood for one.

Chapter Seven

Manners, young man! He certainly thinks very highly of himself.

The way Aria broke down made me cringe? Poor girl! How humiliating, how scary it must have been.

That?s a right question, my dear. Spending the eternity beyond with Vader isn?t a bright perspective at all. But, there is another question ? what can she do in order to turn her existence into a life, and her life in the afterworld in a bliss?

Right! Redeem Vader. It?s not so hard, isn?t it? He is redeemed in most fics.

The whole conversation about marriage conditions is so? sick, so twisted. I?m amazed how dark, how inhuman your Vader is. I?m truly interested in his backstory, and what happened to his first wife in your universe.

For what was supposed to be the happiest moment in any woman?s life, Aria found that it turned out to be nothing more than an embarrassing signing of documents. By hastily writing down her name so as to end the pain, she gave herself over to the enemy, bound to him body and soul.

Ouch. Again, poor Aria.

Your description of the wedding dress looks quite similar to Padmé?s, but I?m sure that it is just a coincidence, isn?t it?

You know, I never thought that I would say it? but I truly, deeply hate this Vader. He is so arrogant, cold and twisted, and even OT Vader had some trace of dark honour in him. But this man?he doesn?t know what honour or dignity is. It?s sick. Which means, in my language (as you already know), good job!

The feeling of his lips against her pure skin was nauseating knowing that the same hands which stroked her back had strangled innocent men and slaughtered defenseless women and children.

Amen. Must have done everything even worse.

Make it stop? make me wake up Aria begged the unsympathetic gods, watching him read what had been a loving father?s last words to his only child but had become a mockery.



The whole rape scene (and it was a rape!) was so chilling, disgusting and scary.

He is so so so EVIL

You are doing a great characterization of him. I am already anticipating next Wednesday

 

All I can say at this point is... Prince Charming he is not! The poor Lady has just married a Nightmare.

It reminds me of a scene of 'The Color Purple'. On the character Ceily's wedding night she talks of her husband (child bride forced to marry an older man). She just laid there unemotionally during the whole thing waiting for him to leave her alone. I can see Vader and Aria's marriage turning out the same as Ceily's and Mister's... Long, abusive, disrespectful, and hopefully she can either redem him or make him pay before it's over.

I'm for the 'make him pay' scenero myself. *hint, hint*

I don't blame Aria for being nervous about this particular night *sighs* I'd be terrified in her place, even with the upbringing she's had. Knowing she's supposed to submit to her husband and knowing what and who she just married, they can't be easy to reconcile in her mind.

I can just see the conflict now. Duty vs ethics... it's going to be an interesting ride.

Vader's last words were just creepy and chilling. Very, very creepy...
