I'm assuming this is worse than previous demands for "sumbum", "loins", "truckin'", "restaurateur", "yclept" and "standard deviation" [face_laugh] I don't think those were all from one fic, but it sounds like you've been handed a similarly unhelpful set. Best of luck.

It's not that bad, actually. It's just that I don't like required word lists in general.

    Ah, k.

I think their existence may be justified, though, if it leads to the production of rants of that calibre :p

This moderator accepts no responsibility for the dares. :p All dares were assigned randomly, so if you must blame someone blame FATE.

Okay, some of them were really evil. [face_devil]

    That bad?

Some of those words were mine. I submitted a Smokey and the Bandit themed Dare last year.

    :p

I really think that the DARE submitter expected some kind of mush.
Except she didn't really say "Must have Mush, now did she? [face_devil]

Or should I denounce my evil ways and actually try to write fluff?

How do you know it came from a "she"?

I'm working on my Dare story right now. It'll require some fancy footwork, but I think I'll have pulled it off by Valentines Day, which is rather appropriate, considering the subject matter...

Well, I can't wait to see who got my Dare. When I imagine the look on their face as they open their pm, it makes me want to laugh manically until I get spittle all over my monitor. [face_devil]

    It's for political correctness

If you peruse some political social scientific articles, the scientists, politicians who are expected to read your work are always said to be "she", "her"

Isn't that just like saying 'he' or 'him' but in reverse? If it's politically incorrect to use male pronouns because you're assuming the reader is male when they could be female, isn't it just as incorrect to use female pronouns because you're assuming the reader is female when they could be male? If I'm in doubt then I use the singular 'they' as that covers everyone.

    they can be singular?!

but that aside, as for my point, say that to the feminists.

Sad but true, I will say that some, a minor group who call themselves feminists will condone reverse you know what.

Please don't hurt me! PLEASE! OMG! I'll tell you... I'll tell you everything. OW! Me fingernails! GAH! *panting as more ultra neofeminists close in on Lightsaber*

    P.S.

seriously, this is not designed to offend any feminists, but it's just for playing safe, you know?

Mine isn't as bad as I expected. In fact, it's not evil at all. I'll just need to do some research...since I don't want to completely slaughter characterizations. :D

Hmm...wonder who got mine? Hopefully they'll enjoy... [face_mischief]

The dare I recieved was insanely easy! Now I just have to think of a way to put a twist to an already overused plot so as not to make my response boring. :p

Finished. ;) Sorry, would have had it done sooner, but living on the other side of the planet means I didn't wake up until about 5pm board time. ;)
