Amph The Disney/Pixar Movies Thread (for anything non-Marvel/SW)

It's just more about her character's role than anything else. She's best known for how she was portrayed in the Roger Rabbit movie. She might've been the lead PI instead of Eddie Valiant if Disney were to remake the movie today.

 

But why does she just have to be the sexy femme fatale? Even the femme fatale roles in the era she was based on were often more complex and had way more to offer than what reactionary trolls seem to want from this character.

The gender politics are just dumb

 

I'm not the one arguing about the change in her role; I'm just suggesting the perspective of those who are. That's where they're coming from. To them, it's status quo or nothing at all.

 

Yea, I get it. Well I get where you're coming from. I don't understand the mob in this scenario.

 

I know Disney has teased JR in other roles in spin-off shorts. I think they're available on D+.

 

Giving JR more development as a character is a good thing.

 

There's plenty of fanart out there where she's wearing more casual clothing; of course they still tend to feature her endowments "to scale" regardless of what she's wearing.

I think you know as well as I do that this'll be an excuse for Disney to bump up the subscription rate for the channel on its anniversary.

 

I had to check and I'm good until 11/12/2022

 

I assume the Shang-Chi movie will be available to all subscribers and not just at the ridiculous $20+ "Premier access" mark.

 

That was my assumption that it would be available to all subscribers per the announcement. There aren't any future titles after "Jungle Cruise" that require "Premier access". I don't think they'll be doing it anymore as things return to "normal" in theaters.

So will the end credits feature toy Buzz dreaming about all of the fictional characters to his origin story; and then Hamm wakes him up to let him know that Bonnie wants to play house with her toys today?

Second Fast & Furious franchise star to play the Queen in an adaptation of Snow White. Charlize Theron was in Snow White & The Huntsman and the sequel.

 

I'm curious who'll they'll cast for the dwarfs. I mean in SW&TH it was all just blue screens/trick photography, right? None of the dwarfs were actual Little People. Would be interesting if they cast them for the new Disney adaptation.

 

For those interested, Disney's Encanto will be streaming on D+ on December 24th.

Apparently there's an avatar of Fennec Shand as well as Mulan, and she can't choose which one to use for her D+ account lol.

 

The wife and I finally watched this the other day. I thought it had a lot of charm and heart. I definitely got emotional during "Two Caterpillars" but other than that, I don't remember any of the songs. I'd put this one up there with "Tangled" - one good song, okay story, will watch again in a few years.
