Mini Series The droids of the Kenobi series (spoilers allowed)

Lots of love for the villains and heroes of the Kenobi series but I couldn't see a thread for the little guys...the Droids.

(Mods, please edit/merge/remove this thread if one already exists).

In the Kenobi trailer, there are a few quick reveals of droids - some Bounty Hunters, some small enough to hold in your hand; nasty, and cute.

What droids did you see?

What role will they/do they play?

Will they be iconic? In what way?

Will the death star droid in ANH's jawa sandcrawler be explained in this series?

Will the original duo appear? (And will Kenobi still not acknowledge knowing them!)

Importantly, in which episode will the fan favourite power droid and mouse droid appear in?

(Serious stuff!)

 

I like the beefy one that was knocking out stormtroopers in the latest trailer, gonna make him my avatar for a bit

 

But do they speak bocce

 

So far they don't seem to be programmed for etiquette and protocol.

 

You see a 4-LOM lookalike firing at Kenobi on the roof. Maybe its him, who knows. Looks like him.

More importantly, can they play it?

 

Wonder who he's working for?

The handheld droid seems interesting. Do we know any more? Reminiscent of smaller droid builds/characters like BB8 or D-O or the Inquisitors' small probe droids. Or that one in Mando (and Jedi Fallen Order?)

 

Not sure who he’s working for but he seems to be a good guy, maybe working for rebellion, possibly even Bail Organa? The little probe thing looks like a “nice” droid cuz of the blue eyes imo, but the gloved hand holding it is kind of sinister.

If that’s Reva holding it, then maybe it will be her friend that sticks with her when she leaves empire to join the good guys.

 

But he doesn't remember ever owning a droid!!!

 

It would seem beefy droid is called "Ned-B". Kinda lovable name for a killing machine.

If the little droid has a voice actor, I wonder if it'll be Maya Erskine. She did describe her role as a "speck," so maybe she was alluding to how literally diminutive her character is?

It would be nice to meet another droid which was not in servitude and could do it's own thing. Apart from L3-37 and the assassin/mercenary droids I can't think of any others that don't have some type of Owner.

 

I say K2SO was independent even with Andor Cassian.

 

Zuckuss isn't 4-LOM's owner.

 

No they are partners and rivals. Also Chopper from Rebels is not owned more of a family member.

 

I love Chopper...and he does know Obi-wan (albeit later in the timeline).

 

They captured and reprogrammed him to use against the Empire.

Chopper is Hera's droid I believe?

Like I said, it's only the assassin/mercenaries that are their own boss.

 

IG-11, IG-88, 4LOM and such then.

 

It does sound like a character from The Waltons.

I wonder if there's a few of them. Maybe Ned-X is a delivery droid.
