It was always a trilogy. Since first post of revolution Not everything will be resolved in this one, but a lot will. Everything I kind of left hanging in Revolution for instance. The last story will be the end of the Yuuzhan Vong war.

Chapter 6

A moment of panic filled Leia as she awoke groggily and could not see.

Have I gone blind?

After a few minutes or hours of slipping in and out of consciousness, she peeled the dried blood away from her eyelids and was able to separate them.

The rectangular cabin she was in was no more than three meters in any direction and the walls were made of a reflective surface, polished to a shine.

Besides the aching pain in her head, Leia felt a tremendous sense of cold. It was then that she realized she'd been stripped down to her most personal of clothing.

She crawled closer to a wall on one side to see her distorted reflection. Her face was covered in dried blood from her forehead wound above her left eye, which was stiffly swollen and bruised-- leaving the eye half closed. There was also a trail of crusted blood from her nostrils down to her chin that reminded her of a stream in a drought.

She pulled her raw lips apart and realized how thirsty she was.

How long have I been here?

She didn't remember much and it was hard for her to concentrate with the pain all over her face.

She began to tremble from the shock of seeing her own battered portrait and the cold of space travel until her body was covered in thousands of tiny bumps.

Leia glanced around the remainder of her small cell and spotted a small vid screen and intercom in the wall to her right. Next to it was the only door to the chamber, sealed shut, no doubt. To her surprise, a tray of food and a mug lay on the floor in front of her.

Leia lunged for the mug with speed she didn't know she was capable of, and just as quickly, gulped down its contents. Bad Corellian ale; but she didn't care. The liquid run down her dry throat and it made her feel worlds better. Leia was also pleased to see the trey filled with fruits that she hoped were juice filled. As she dug into the produce, the vidscreen lit up with the image of a scruffy looking man, and a view port behind him showing the swirl of hyperspace.

"Awake, are we?" He asked with the hint of a smile touching the ends of his lips.

"I apologize for the violent nature of your capture, but its difficult to intercept someone of your standing, Leia Solo."

Great he knows who I am.

"So you know who I am; I guess that makes you smarter than you look," Leia snapped.

"Ha!" He laughed. The man quickly managed a more sincere demeanor and then said, " I'm also sorry to take your cloths, Princess. I had to make sure you weren't carrying any weapons or Jedi devices. I assure you your modesty was not compromised and if it makes you feel any better, it was the droid that stripped you."

Leia sneered and then remembered the HK droid who'd stormed her cabin after the Harbinger of Peace had been yanked from hyperspace.

"What have you done with my guards, and the crew on my shuttle?" She asked angrily.

"They were all alive when we left them. That gas we used was nasty stuff, that's why your nose was bleeding," he added, "but it won't kill anyone."

"No, I'm sure leaving them in a derelict ship in the middle of nowhere will do that," Leia snapped again.

The scruffy man grinned. "Nice try, Princess, but I have a feeling that little shuttle of yours will transmit a distress signal and be picked up eventually."

Leia tried to glare at him but it hurt her bruised eye too much.

"Who are you?"

"I'd like to retire without worrying about being hunted down, thank you," he snarled.

"That won't save you... I have powerful friends." Leia boasted.

"Precisely why I've gone to great lengths to prevent their intervention," he said, his grin getting slimier with every passing second.

"What do you..." Leia stopped mid-sentence when she realized what he was referring to. She could not feel the Force-- it was as if her connection to it was lost, or being stifled.

Ysalamiri!

If there were ysalamiri on board, she would be unable to use the Force to escape, or call out to Luke or her children. A great sense of helplessness saturated her wounded body.

"Why?" She screamed. "Where are you taking me?"

The man looked sympathetic for a brief moment. "Why I'm just a bounty hunter; the why isn't important to me. I will tell you it's the Peace Brigade who contracted me, and you can probably guess what they want you for." He stopped and thought over the rest of his answer. "I suppose there is no problem in telling you where you're being taken either... You're going to Tatooine."

Leia did her best to hide her despair; she wouldn't allow herself to cry in front of this monster.

"There's a change of clothes in the small compartment to your left," the bounty hunter offered. "I would appreciate your cooperation, Princess Leia. If you comply, I'm sure we'll get along famously."

With that, the screen turned blank again.

Leia put her fruit down and stood for the first time since waking. Her back was stiff from lying on the hard floor and she stretched to relieve the tension. Opening the small compartment the man had mentioned yielded a single set of clothes-- white shirt, pants, and jacket.

At least the jacket appears to be slightly insulated, she thought.

Leia dressed quickly and finished her meal. For not the first time, Leia wished she had completed her Jedi training. Though she wouldn't be able to use the Force with ysalamiri creating a Force resistant bubble in the area. Still, she knew Luke would be able to escape the situation.

Leia was awaken again some time later when the door to her cabin opened and the silver HK droid entered. She quickly raised from her place on the floor, sleeping on her right side because the left side of her face was so sensitive.

The droid stared down at her with it's glowing red eyes and kept it's blaster rifle trained on her.

"You have been granted shower privileges, Leia Solo," the droid answered in his monotone voice. The assassin tossed a pair of stun cuffs on the floor in front of her and said, "please restrain yourself."

Leia complied, looking for any way to get out of the tiny room.

"I would like to remind you that nay attempt to escape will result in your termination," the droid said.

The menacing nature of the threat was made more troubling by the metallic voice. "The Captain will still receive a large reward for your corpse, but it would be best for both parties if you cooperate fully."

Leia stood up and the HK droid said, “ladies first. Turn right; third door on the left."

She stepped around the red eyed killer and entered the hall, following his instructions with the blaster rifle placed firmly between her shoulder blades. She used the opportunity to take in as much of the ship as she could on her short jaunt to the refresher.

There didn't appear to be anyone else on board, and the bounty hunter had called the assassin, the droid. Chances were, it was just the two of them. Not impossible, she thought.

Leia knew she had to find a way to escape soon. It would be far easier to over power or trick the two on board then it would be the many Peace Brigade members that were probably waiting for her on Tatooine.

She reached her destination and entered the refresher after the droid removed her stuncuffs and waited outside. Leia took a quick shower, not wanting to waste the opportunity to wash the blood off her face and clean the wounds. After dressing again hurriedly, she began scavenging the refresher for anything she might be able to use in an escape. She still had no contact with the Force, which meant the ysalamiri bubble was larger than her own cabin.

Predictably, the refresher was devoid of anything she could possibly use to aid her in an escape. She resigned herself to that fact with a sigh and hit the control switch on the door. It slid open revealing an empty hallway.

Where's that droid?

She peeked around the doorway and glanced in both directions down the hall. The HK was nowhere to be seen...

Is this a trap or my one chance to escape?

Leia stepped into the hallway and headed down it at a quick pace as noiselessly as she could manage. She didn't recognize the model of the ship, but it appeared to be a small freighter.

Should she try and find the ysalamiri? Should she kill them? No, she couldn't do that, it was not the creatures fault after all.

She continued down the hall, afraid her breathing would cause too much noise so she stopped all together. Reaching the end of the hall, Leia found the door standing open revealing the ship's cockpit-- also empty.

Looking at the controls, she considered pulling the ship out of hyperspace, but that would alert her abductors. Leia needed a plan; she hadn't expected an opportunity like this to just happen without her having a chance to coordinate an escape.

Spotting a small data pad on a chair, Leia picked it up. Scrolling through it she found bank transfers, names; bounty contracts-- all containing the name Dest Ornax. Obviously it was the scruffy bounty hunter's name.

A sharp jab to her ribs brought Leia to her knees with a cry. The HK droid was standing over her as he reversed the butt and pointed the weapon at Leia.

She looked to his right and noticed Dest had snuck up on her as well.

"What did I tell you about trying to escape, Leia?" He asked.

"The entire ship is under surveillance. There is no hope for escape. This was a test, and a lesson. Now that you know this, I don't expect anymore trouble," Dest finished. "Kay, take her back to her room."

She glared at the brown haired man with every ounce of rebel left in her. The HK droid hauled Leia off the ground and escorted her back to her cabin.

LOL! I hadn't thought of that line that way
glad you like him. The HK droid comes from Knights of the Old Republic as JOD pointed out earlier, though I tried to give this one a different persona. HK-47 from KOTOR was pure evil.
