Quick warning, I just saw the Episode IX Visual Dictionary has leaked online, so far just one pic but whoever got it won't take long for the rest to follow. Brace for real leaks and the internet to explode in 3.. 2.. 1..

Ok after the Burger King inferno, the guy with the visual dictionary calles Jedi Paxis leaks fake and JP a liar...

Can't wait to see the movie wednesday finally to find out myself what is true. May headcanon prevail for the best version of the end!

Re: the Visual Dictionary: It was very interesting when the one for TLJ leaked, because a lot of the major twists were not explicitly stated. It could be the same way this year. (TLJ really did an incredible job on hiding spoilers in general.)

 

Hiding to the point of omitting some major elements from the book that is supposed to be complete. I did not like that to be honest. Either release the books after the movie when it is safe to give a complete guide, or have the book be less than what it could be. I do not like books to suffer in quality for spoiler policy reasons.

All in all compared to OT or PT visdics the ST ones lacked in quality and rather named stuff but were less creative with it, and less daring to tie stuff together or to non-movie worlds and characters as older guides did.

 

You get a like for the KOTOR reference.

I also agree with the lacking feeling of these Visual guides.

Will she appear alive or as a ghost? If she's alive, she'd be 71 by my calculation.

I really doubt it would be anything more than a few seconds of Ashley Eckstein's voice during some sort of Force voice montage where all the dead Jedi tell Rey to keep her chin up or something.

Also, have we ever seen an old Togruta? What would that even look like?

They say that's exactly where Ahsoka will be heard; in the final battle where a bunch of Force-related characters speak to Rey to give her a power boost. It's reported that they aren't necessarily ghosts, either, just voices, with Ahsoka, Ezra, and Maz Kanata being potentially still alive.

The premiere's happening, and we've got some genuinely BIG SPOILER images floating around already. At least three screencaps from the film itself spoiling a few big moments. Be warned.

EDIT: Apparently from a promo video shown before the film itself, but even so, they're definitely spoilers...one especially if you've been following the leaks.

 

And with that, I'm bowing out of this thread. Got tickets for Friday morning, so hopefully it won't be too rough of a wait.

It's all "A good question. For another time." all over again, but this time's it's at the end of the story, so, whoops?

 

JJ doesn't care. As long as you've paid to see it, he's already got your cash and that's all that counts as far as he is concerned

 

No one in this trilogy seems to care except the struggling actors.

Good thing I didn't pay for tickets, someone else in my family did. Win-win.

Also, I hear we're getting an early Mando episode, so will this contain a tie-in spoiler?

 

I heard rumours that JJ had cribbed Dark Empire, but it turns out he's cribbed Glove of Darth Vader!

Can't wait to see Rey with her pet mooka.
